???'s POV:

I watched from the shadows. It was early in the morning, the No-ones having retreated to the dark about 3 hours ago. I kept by breathing shallow and my movements to a minimum as I watched the three teens emerge from the inn. The girl walked around the side of the building, returning a couple minuets later with a silver horse close behind her. She and the blonde haired boy climbed onto it while the two tone haired boy seemed to be remaining on foot.

They spoke in hushed voices, setting out towards the edge of the city.

I tried to take a step forward, so that I could watch them for a moment longer. I couldn't do that. My shattered leg wouldn't allow me such a simple action.

"L/N... Shoto... please be safe." I muttered to myself, my heart stinging slightly at the thought of them still remaining on the opposite side.

If only they understood.

They think they're out to defeate The Nothing when really... the real faces behind that name are what they're really trying to protect.

"There you are!" A voice came from behind my shoulder.

I tried to turn my head but the cramp in my neck was killing me.

"Thank hell." I muttered, "Toga... I need to to take me to a healer."

Her naturally wide smile faided into a look of confusion. She stopped bouncing on the spot at tilted her head to the side.

"What? Why?"

"I fell down a long flight of stairs..."

"Ah! Alright! I'll get Kurogiri to teliport us back to base." She giggled, "Back to Lovvelie we gooo!"

Y/N's POV:

The town of Lovvlie, ey? I wonder what it's like...

By now, Katsuki had fallen back asleep. He was resting his head against my back and snoring slightly. Since I didn't want him to fall off, we had to keep a slower pace. Shoto walked by Espur's side, looking up to check on me every now and again. Each time we accidentally met eyes, we couldn't help but smile.

My joy was slightly bittersweet though... I still couldn't get anything out of my mind. All the thoughts and doubts that I'd promised I wouldn't let effect me are still there. What happens when he finds out that I'm the one he's ment to marry? What happens after all of this is over? What do I do then? What if... Dabi was telling the truth?

But to stop anyone from worrying, I kept smiling. I didn't want to drag anyone down with me.

Just keep smiling, it's not that hard!

Smiling,

Smiling,

Smiling,

Smiling,

Smiling,

Smiling...

...

...

"S-shoto?"

His direction snapped around to look at me. He clearly heard the distress and quiver in my voice. I just wanted to get one of these secrets off my chest... I couldn't bare it any more.

"What's wrong?!" His eyes were wide and panicked.

"I-" I considered what I was about to say. It felt like there was hundreds of things I was keeping from him when really there was barely anything, "I know t-that you're technically engaged."

He looked horrorfied for a second, completely awestruck as he processed it.

"Y/N... that doesn't matter! I never even met them, I love you and-"

"T-that's the point!" I cut him off, my heart beating a million miles an hour to hear him say that, "It's... me."

"What?"

"I'm the girl your parents want you to marry. I-I found out during the ball and I didn't have time to tell you, w-well that's a lie... I just... didn't know if telling you was the right thing to do..."

I couldn't stand to look at him. Feeling my face burn up and my eyes start stinging, I lowered by head and let my hair hide my shame. Nobody spoke. The only sounds were Espur's hooves, Shoto's feet and the song of the birds in the sky.

It continued like that for hours.

Complete silence between us as the sun reached its peak and then started falling back down again.

Eventually, of course, Bakugo woke up. He let out a long yawn and streached his arms out to get him muscles working before glancing around at what was going on.

"What's up? Why we all quiet?" He asked, yawning again.

Neither of us replied to him. Neither of us had anything to say.

"What? Are y'all deaf?" He clicked his fingers neer my ear a couple times, "Am I even talkin'?"

"It's nothing, Bakugo. Everything's fine." I stated.

Espur gave a short huff and then an almost sarcastic sounding wince before shaking his head a couple of times and continuing on the path.

I could almost feel Katsuki's condesending eyebrow raise.

To my surprise though, he didn't ask any questions and just kept quiet instead. There was no doubt in my mind that he'd fly off the rails screaming later for some reason or annother and I sure hope it's not at me...

Ok so now it's 6k reads and I feel awful that I couldn't find the time to draw anything this time. All I can say is thank you! I've tried to set an update schedule for myself which it that I update every 10 days so let's hope that keeps working out hahaha... (You just read 866 words)
