~Maximum Ride's P.O.V.~
Okay, latest news on the crazy-bird-kid saga. We're escaping the School once again. Don't ask how we managed to get back at that terrible place. That's a long story for another time.
"Let's move!" I yelled while counting heads. "Go, go, go!"
Before I was out the door, Angel grabbed ahold of my hand, which made me look down at her. "Wait, Max! There's other people like us here! They need our help!" She looked up at me with tears filling her blue eyes.
I glanced towards the rest of the Flock, who were watching impatiently. "I don't know, Angel."
"Please, Max," Angel begged with big, fat tears starting to fall down her angelic features. "They've been treated worse than us! We have to help them. Please don't make them stay here and suffer."
I thought it over for a moment, then let out a sigh. "Fine." I looked at the rest of the Flock. "The rest of you go on ahead. Find a good place to hide and wait for us there. Angel and I will get there as fast as we possibly can. If we don't get there in fifteen minutes, go to Dr. Martinez's house and stay there. Understand?"
"Max, are you sure about this?" Fang asked.
I nodded my head once. "Yeah, I'm sure. Now, get going before the Whitecoats get here!"Once the Flock were out of sight, I turned towards Angel. "Lead me towards them."
Without saying a word, Angel darted out of the room we were in and took off down the long hallway with me right behind. We turned the corner to stand in a corridor with doors lining the walls. She stopped abruptly, nearly making me run right into her. She stood unnatureally still with her eyes closed for a few moments, then she let out a gasp, her eyes shooting open. "The last door to the left. They're in that room."
She ran down the hallway, and I quickly followed while glancing over my shoulder to make sure no Whitecoats or Erasers were behind us. Angel stod in front of a bluish-black door at the end of the corridor, and she twisted the doorknob before pulling the door open.
The two of us stepped into the room to find ourselves in a small room with two medium-sized cages. In the cage to the left, there was a girl lying on the ground on her side. She had brown hair that was the same length as Fang's hair before he cut it, and it pooled around her head, which rested on her hands. Her red eyes were halfway closed, and she was trembling like crazy. She wore a baggy white dress that fell to her knees, and her pale arms were bare.
In the cage to the right, there was a boy sitting there with his legs pressed against his chest, and his arms were wrapped around his legs. His si;ky silver hair fell halfway down his back, and some of his hair fell into his face. His feline golden eyes watched Angel and I, and suspicioun mixed with curiosity filled his eyes. He wore a baggy white shirt witht he sleeves falling down to his elbows, and the baggy pants fell down to his ankles.
Quickly, my eyes darted around the room until they fell on a set of keys dangling on the wall near the back of the room. I hurried over to them and pulled them off the wall. Hoping that these keys went to the cages, I knelt in front of the cage with the girl and chose a random ket out of the four keys avaliable.
"Let's hope this works," I said to myself while sliding the key into the key hole. I quickly turned it, and a smirk appeared on my face with a heard a quiet click. I helped the girl out of the cage before rushing over th the boy's cage. After putting in the last three keys, the boy was finally out of his cage. "Okay, let's move!" I shouted.

"Max!" Nudge wrapped her arms around me once Angel, the two others, and I found the rest of the Flock in the forest five miles away from the chool. Nudge then wrapped her arms around Angel tightly. "Angel! You guys are okay! I was so worried about you two. I thought something happened to you guys. I would've totally died if something happened to you."
"Are you okay, Max?" Fang whispered into my ear.
I nodded my head, giving him a small smile. "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Um, excuse me," a small voice said. "Help her. Please?"
My smile turned into a frown when I turned around to see the boy sitting on his knees with the girl leaning against his chest. Her eyes were closed and she looked paler than usual. Worry covered the boy's face like a mask.

So, this is my first story on Wattpad, and I hope you enjoyed the story. Just so you know, I did not write this chapter. TianaTwitch wrote this. I just added, deleted, and changed a few things here. The next chapters are going to be written by TianaTwitch, and I would've addded, deleted, or changed some of the things in the chapters she wrote.
Song choice is Savior by Rise Against.
