to the friends i've abandoned
know it was never a fault of your own
distance, a fact, sometimes its too far
the memories they fade and bitterness breeds
you blame me don't you?
i blame myself for every waking moment
i can't help that you're lonely
i've felt that fear, rode the darkness, and found sunrise at the edge of destruction
darling you can do the same, don't despair the vulnerability
let her in
you'll grow and find a paradise where happiness hums
the days may be long, and how dark the days get
sometimes it may feel temporary
but know unlike those before
a friendship can never fully die when it's me and you
to the friends I've abandoned
know that it takes two to abandon something you love
