That night, Percy invited me to a gathering with his friends. It was in like two hours so we were just hanging out until then. He had called my mom earlier and told her that I needed to go home early for a group project and she didn't care. But then again, when does she ever?

Percy and I spend our free time eating food, watching TV, and arguing- playfully, that is. He eventually insists on baking cookies and he practically puts an entire bottle of blue food coloring in. "Percy!" I fuss at him, "You only needed a few drops!" I try and hide my smile but it's no use. As soon as I close my mouth, he bursts out laughing and his laugh is extremely contagious. As we're mixing the ingredients, some flour poofs out of the mixing bowl. He stares at the mess he made and shrugs. He looks over at me hopefully but I put my hands up in a stop position. "Oh, hell no. Your flour, your mess to clean." He laughs and looks back to his mess and then up at me. Before I know what is happening, there is flour on my face.

"Seems like it's your mess, too." He grins at me.

"Percy!" I fuss playfully. I immediately do the same thing to him and pretty soon we are both covered in flour. He chases me around the house with the flour, but doesn't catch up to me. Well, not until I trip and fall down. As I hit the ground, Percy bursts out laughing. He ends up tripping and falling on top of me. He starts laughing so hard that there are tears in his eyes.

"For you to be so smart, that was so dumb." He continues laughing at me.

My cheeks heat up and I immediately stare at the ground. "Shut up," I tell him just a bit embarrassed.

He laughs at my reaction. "Still cute though," He says as he wraps his arms around my waist. We sit like that for a few minutes before realizing that we have to put the cookies in the oven and clean up our mess. We get up and walk to the kitchen and I immediately start cleaning up. While I do that, Percy goes to shower. So I just put in some headphones and start cleaning. After a few minutes, I turn to put some clean dishes up and I bump into something. I look up and make eye contact with those sea-green eyes. I realize that he only has on sweatpants and so I blush a bit and look away.

"How are you still adorable even when you refuse to look at me?" He asks exasperated.

"Hey! I'm just awkward," I defend myself. "I'm going to go shower. See you in a bit." I grab some clothes out of my bags and turn the shower on. I get the gunk off of my body and out of my hair. I eventually get out and put on some clothes with minimal makeup. I let my hair air dry as it gets too frizzy if I brush it when it's wet (or just natural in general). By the time that I finish, I can hear Percy having a conversation with someone. I approach the living room as he hangs up the phone.

"Hey, so you ready?" He asks me.

"Yeah, I guess so," I tell him. He walks over to me and grabs my hands before planting a kiss on my forehead.

"Let's go then. We have about a thirty minute drive ahead of us," He drags me by my hands to his car. We get in and he pulls into the road. The sun is about to set and I can just appreciate the scenery as we drive. He tells me more about his friends. Mainly Jason, Nico, and Will because I had already been around the girls a few times. I listen to him as I stare out of the window. Every once in a while, I will answer a question but I mostly just listen. Soon enough the sky is almost dark and I see a driveway come into view. Percy parks and turns off the car.

"You ready?" He asks as he opens the door. I nod and he comes to let me out on my side. He grabs my hand and pulls me into the backyard. When the gate opens, all eyes are on us. The boys begin smirking at Percy and the girls start giggling among themselves. He takes me to the guys and officially introduces me.
