Chp. 4 ~Welcome Home~

My eyes widened after what I said, but I couldn't help but laugh. "No wait, that's not what I meant!" My face turned red with embarrassment as I covered my mouth with my hand.

I looked at Seonghwa while still laughing, only to see his eyes wide and his head to the side. This only made me laugh harder at my own stupidity. He smiled though, letting out slight chuckles. After I calmed down I took notice how amazingly beautiful his smile is. It made me smile back to him. "I'm so sorry about that. That isn't what I meant. What I was trying to say is, would you like to bathe so we can clean you up?" I asked politely to him. Making sure I was more clear and careful with my words.

"It's okay, it was kind of funny actually." He said before looking off to the side in thought. I waited patiently for him to reply, not wanting to rush him or make him feel uncomfortable. He gave a small nod before saying "As long as you're the one to help, than I'm willing" I gave a nod as I stood to my feet. Seonghwa doing the same.

"I do have a question, though." He said timidly as he fidgeted with his fingers looking down at them as he did so.

"Yes?" I asked.

"Though I've only been here for today, I haven't seen you until now. Why do you want to help me, and do you work here?" Seonghwa asked all in one breath, still not looking up at me.

I chuckled. "I guess you could say I work here, more volunteer than anything. My parents own the shelter so I can come and go as I please. And I want to help you cause it's the right thing to do." I told him without skipping a beat. I meant every word I said to him, and I wanted him to know that through my words.

He finally looked back up to me. Something shined in his eyes that I couldn't quite decipher. He smiled gratefully at me. "Thank you" He said ever so quietly. "Of course. Now follow me. I'll make sure it's just us so you don't get uncomfortable, and I'll help you if you need it." I walked up to him with gentle steps, once next to him I softly took his hand in my own. I waited to see if he was alright with me touching him.

When he didn't pull away from my hold, that in itself told me he was ok with it. "Come along, Seonghwa!" I cheered as I tugged him toward the door of his room. I opened the door to the room and begun to walk out it. But before I could fully get out the door I felt myself being stopped.

I looked back to Seonghwa, only to see a frighten expression on his face. "What's wrong?" I asked him, now being fully turned to him. "I-I'm just nervous?" He stutterly said making it sound like a question. "It's okay. I promise you that everyone here is nice, and that while you're with me you'll be fine." I took his other hand in my own. Trying my best to reassure him.

His body relaxed after being pulled into itself. Seonghwa took in a deep breath before letting it out. The scared look on his face now slowly disappearing as he focused on what I had said. His eyes flicked open as his eyebrows pushed together. "But.....what happens when you're not with me?" His voice small as he asked.

I thought of his question, taking a moment before a smile showed on my face. "I'll tell you later after we wash you up. But trust me, you're going to like it." And with that I gentle pulled him out the room and down the hall.

It didn't take long, but eventually the two of us made it to the washrooms. I pushed open the doors to the bathroom, letting Seonghwa enter first before I did myself. Once inside I closed and locked the door from the inside, wanting to make sure that no one will disturb us.

Within the room was a huge shower that could fit more than two people, Infact it was just the shower in the room. This was the bathing room. Nothing more. "Ok! Would you need help or could you do this yourself?" I asked Seonghwa while getting the things he'll be needing ready.
