Severus Snape strode angrily down the corridor, he absolutely despised Christmas. The day had been long and harrowing for him, even as he was forced to sit beside Caledonia on the long dinner table, the girl shoving a Christmas hat on his head- much to his disdain. When he was about to unlock his classroom door, music caught his ears and he frowned, turning to the door opposite which was unusually closed on that day. Curiously, he approached and softly opened it, his knock going unheard over the loud music.

Within the room, Caledonia danced around, swinging her hips with a happy grin on her lips, bottle of fire whisky in her hand, though it was almost empty now. Leaning in the doorframe in slight amusement, he chuckled and she turned to him, a sloppy drunken grin spreading over her features when she saw him stood there. He instantly dropped his smile, pretending to be irritated.

"Severus!" she cheered with a cheeky giggle and waltzed toward him, hips swaying in time to the music. "Dance with me!"

"Absolutely not" he scoffed, watching her grab his hand and try to drag him. It amused him how incredibly weak she was, despite how hard she tugged on his hand, he wasn't moving even an inch and she glared angrily, hitting him pathetically in the chest in annoyance.

"You're evil Severus, evil." she glared in annoyance, hissing and he rose an eyebrow. "Why are you so mean to me?" she pouted with big doe eyes and he blinked, her mood changing too fast for him to keep up. "Fire Whisky?" Caledonia offered happily, holding it out for him to take, he took it and she stared at him, eyes wide as she bounced on the spot excitably, watching him. Looking at the bottle, he placed it down and she pouted angrily before going back to spinning around and around in circles excitably, stumbling into tables.

"Okay, okay" Severus huffed when she tumbled downward. Reaching out quickly, he grabbed her around the slender waist and held her up, her back flush against his chest as he steadied her weight against him. She was incredibly light. "You're drunk and it's late, come on." He urged and ushered her along to her room. Opening the door, he had to let go of her and she flopped forward. Groaning out angrily, Snape grabbed her again and practically carried her into the room, allowing her to fall onto the bed.

The room was larger than his but much more elegantly decorated. The scattered ornaments and clothing disturbed him and as she flopped back on the bed, staring at the canopy, he swished his wand to tidy the place.

"Hey, no! where'd my mess go?" she slurred out, standing and he rolled his eyes at her, though was strangely amused by her. Caledonia struggled against the clothing she wore, ripping it off and Snape's eyes widened comically in horror before he whipped around to face away from her.

"What are you doing?" the man demanded angrily and was met with a cheeky giggle.

"I need to get out" she protested, spinning around in a circle as she reached over her shoulder to try and undo the buttons along her back. Scoffing, Snape approached her and swatted her hands away, easily undoing the buttons that ended just at the bottom of her spine. Her bare, tanned back becoming exposed to him, he gulped. She was stunning, curved and splendid and as she allowed the dress to drop, she wore nothing but her emerald coloured undergarments and he did his best not to stare as she turned to face him, cheeks flushed with the alcohol. "Thank you" she breathed and he sighed, storming away from her to pull the covers back.

Sliding into the bed, watching intently like a child as Snape dropped the covers over the top of her, Caledonia blinked. In the next moment, he turned on his heel to leave.

"You're going?" her voice was hollow in the darkness and he huffed, turning around to face her, arms crossing. "Don't go. Stay."

"I can't stay" he rolled his eyes and she glared in annoyance, spread starfish as she looked up at the canopy.

"I don't understand him" she muttered to herself and Snape rose an eyebrow. "Bipolar. Yes, that's what he is." she listed and he was positive Caledonia was talking about him so he slowly took a seat in the chair by her desk, listening. She was completely out of it, that much was clear. But Caledonia Merlin wasn't the kind of girl who would be embarrassed by it all in the morning, in fact, she would probably just laugh it off. So he had no qualms about listening.

"Handsome bipolar" he couldn't help the smile that spread on his cheeks when she said that. "But he loves Lily. Lily. Lily" she listed on repeat and a deep scowl marked his forehead in an instant, how did she know about that? Why did she care? He had many questions, all of which could not be answered by the drunk girl at that time. "Doesn't like Calla."

"Caledonia" Snape stated softly and she blinked, looking at him.

"You're still here."

"I'm still here" he smiled gently for the very first time and she seemed hypnotised by the look as he took a seat beside her on the bed, the girl now sitting and looking directly at him. "How do you know about Lily?"

"Dumbledore told me. Told me you love her. Always." she listed. "You can't love anyone else."

"That's not true," he replied instantly and then shook his head, unsure why he was saying it in the first place.

"But... You do love Lily?"

"I do."

"You can't love two people, Sevvver" she tried to say his name but her slurring made it impossible. He couldn't help but smile, amused by it.

"You can if one of them is dead."
