For Eva

I remember in seventh grade when I was playing matchmaker between Eva and her crush and he ended up falling for me instead. I swear, I laughed when he told me he liked me, I had thought Eva would be mad though.

When I told her, she said there was nothing wrong that it was okay, saying it was just a silly crush after all.
I also remember the first time Eva had her period. I was asleep on a friday night when she woke me up, her face showed that she was uncomfortable

"What?" I asked sleepily rubbing my eyes

"I can't sleep" She whined

"Why?" I asked

"I feel so uncomfortable, I think it's because I overate" She complained "I swear I'm never eating this much in my life again" she added and I chuckled

"Tried taking a shit?" I asked

"Yes, nothing came out of my butthole" She said and I laughed

"Just try sleeping, count one to hundred in your mind" I said and she stared at me blankly "it might be better by morning" I reassured, yawned and turned to my other side to sleep back.

By morning, I was relaxing in the bathtub when Eva came in, showing me her panties.

We went with my mom to one of her social gatherings and when we came back home, I was relaxing on my bed reading a novel when Eva came in looking disturbed

"What?" I asked and she showed me another stained underwear

"I think something's wrong with me cause I didn't even feel pressed" She said

"Maybe you should just ask my mum" I suggested then she shrugged and left the room.

Minutes later she came back with a smile on her face and I raised a brow at her

"I'm on my period!" She exclaimed with a wide smile"I can't believe it" she chirped

"You lost one of your panties though" I said

"Never really liked it" She replied and we both laughed.

"Holy shit! You cry?!" Bec shouted interrupting my thoughts and I touched my face, gently wiping the tears running down my face

"If there's anyone to ask that question, it's you" I said "I still can't get over the fact that you cried that day"I added and she laughed

"We'll be fine" She assured but after a while, "who am I kidding? We won't!" she exclaimed and I laughed.

Bec and I were driving to granddad's house in the country side, it was eight pm and the road we were on was dark and deserted.

"Midnight?" Bec called and I turned shockingly to her and there was a slight smirk on her face

"That was just so weird" I said as we both laughed.

"I don't even know how I remember that your middle name is Midnight" She said still laughing and we sobered up after a while, we were just quiet.

"All this feels like a movie, a horror movie" Bec said shuddering "I almost don't believe it" she added

"I hope my mom's still alive" I said "I miss her" I added
