I spot Naomi in a corner beside the cliffs. Her back was hunched up with a cigarette in her hands. Her blue curls were messed up as if she was dragged from hell to get here.
She was nervously staring into the waters. No, she wasn't nervous; she was gloomy and upset about something.

Maybe because of the mess you made. My subconscious adds. I push the thought away before tapping her shoulders.

"What took you so long?" She asks.

"Clearly, you haven't noticed yourself yet" I gesture towards her.

"What do you want anyways?" She asks. I take a deep and dark breath before making my request ready in my mind.

"I need a few or at least one of your informants who know how to crack a phones password and..." I gently take out the book, sliding it out of my bag and before her eyes.

Her expression was a mixture of shocked, startled and surprised. She definitely knew about it beforehand.

"You found these at Thompson's" it wasn't a question. She already knew everything with one look.

"I wanted to read this with you... maybe get something out of it" I shove it towards her before she pushes it back.

"I can't" she looks down. "Nao..." I plea.

"It's just that... the long anticipated book of Thompson is suddenly in front of my eyes" she remarks.

"So what? Nao, this is a fatal conspiracy that even involved my brother and even my own boyfriend in it, there Ex's included" I continue, "This is the only thing I can do for Bennett... and myself" I look into her eyes.

"Thompson is my relative" she states. "We aren't that closely related but my dad always said we are sort of related to each other" she brushes her arm nervously.

"Naomi, all I need you to do is take me to someone who can crack the password and... you helping me with this goddamned murder" I whine.

"If these are the only things that can help, so be it" she shakes her head. She plops down into the sands before motioning me over.

Opening the book, I face the same insect pendant attached to the book; only this time way bigger than the other.

The Society's Fatal mistake

17th May

Travis is dead,
Lady Lawson took my only son and murdered him.
Ever since that murder happened Travis was busy figuring things out,
Until the bitch finally took her prey and destroyed every piece of him,
In the name of illegal investigations.
Many officers are dead by now, some jailed.
The only thing I have are the grandkids Travis left and my thoughts,
I don't want my grandkids hurt,
The daughter of the Lawson's, Diana, can't notice them.
I'm dying.
I'm dying.
I'm dying.
I'm dying.

Naomi was mute the whole time. I flip through the next page to face more writings. They all had beautiful and gorgeous decorations.
Pages of pages being passed were filled with different people. The first one was a young girl with dark hair similar to detective Thompson's, they probably are siblings. She was beautiful, she had black eyes and a gentle face.
The next one was Detective Thompson himself, except that there was a fancy writing of 'Travis Thompson' at the top of it.
Until the next one,

'Bennet Blake'

I froze. How did Thompson know of Bennett's death? I make a quick check on the next page only to see Tiffany's name on it, 'Tiffany Lee'.
If I could, I would reverse time and ask every single word out of Bennett's tongue until I figure everything; But the dead is gone forever.

Finally, I find a entry of another incident; I suppose.

28 May

Nothing happened.
God knows I tried,
No matter how hard I tried,
They didn't listen,
The rotten police station only has a name and a place.
They never cared about my Travis.
Endless days and hours of yelling and shouting at the police department only for a explanation of what had happened to my only son,
Nothing happened.

Was it so Evil to care?

Only today I found how voiceless can you be when the world suddenly became as meaningless as losing someone so easily.
I'm dying.
I'm dying.
I'm dying.
I'm dying.

Tears prickled in my eyes so easily. How can people be so mean? The rest of the pages were empty, blank, with only dates on it. I reach a page with an attached paper on it, the same strange letters on it.

It was another ritual.

Only last time, it was a curse, the curse Thompson was stuck in. But this one, was a demon summoning.
There was a strange illustration of a woman with red hair and eyes on one side of her face, but on the other was a strange drawing of a skeleton filled with rotten red roses on the inside.

"Who is she?" I ask myself, but loudly. Naomi shifts in her place before answering me, "She May be a real person"

I look back at her with a questioned look. What does she mean?

"What do you mean?"

"I mean, Thompson won't just attach a dumb ritual of some red woman" she shrugs.

My head snapping back at the book, I almost violently turn the pages to reach the insect pendant.

I Had to open it. A part of this book is based on the people Thompson held dearest.
