Unexpectedly, there's only Tyler's car outside. I swear I will confront Jen right after I escape this shitty mood.

A scent of rose snakes through my nostrils as he pulls the door handle. Every inch of it was neat and clean; just like how this guy pretends to be.

Moments later I am softly placed on the front seat as his hands slide out before he scrambles back to the building to get Thompson.
I wasn't as much as shocked as I should be. We were taken to another building; and I thought I was still at Thompson's.

Minutes pass and he's dragging Thompson to the backseat. His troubled mind that he failed to hide was odd in the silent car drive.
This is gonna be the longest drive of my life. I watch as the hateful places pass by; I wanted to make up an excuse for Logan and mom but I couldn't. My brain wasn't functioning properly to even think where we are going.

"Why didn't you arrest her?" I dig my fingers into my palm.

He takes a deep breath before answering, "Without evidence, I'm only accusing"

"At least you could've-" I wanted to tell him he could've brought an old camera but my tongue was tied the moment I remembered The recorder Jen gave me. That's the perfect evidence.

"I could've What?" He presses.

"Nothing" I decide against telling him about anything.

"Where are we anyways?" I change the subject.

The air was twice as intense than before. Thompson didn't even move an inch from his place as if he's a statue or something. Only his gloomy red eyes that were darting at his front was visible in the mirrors reflection.

"A place way far than you were" he answers.

The drive was swaying my body to sleep as Tyler swirled the steering wheel like a rollercoaster. I silently slide my hands into my pockets as relief washes through me when my fingers come in contact with the black object.

My subconsciousness remarks Naomi's absence before I take out my phone again in hopes of a reply from her.
I type in my message when I see a new voicemail on my phone. Could it be Naomi? My fingers immediately tap on the voicemail bar; revealing an anonymous number.

"...Alissa..." Naomi's weak voice booms through the car.

"...Please come to the docks... please just come as soon as you receive this message..." I could hear her sniffling her nose constantly as she choked on her sobs.

Her voice was weak and... Vulnerable. For the first time I heard Naomi so weak. As far as I know she would never show herself weak to anyone — even me. But something behind her voice makes me sure that she's incapable of saving herself.

I glance at Tyler who apparently, was scowling in concentration as his dark eyes trained on every car and people passing by.

If Tyler could've been any help; he would have when I was drunk that day.

"We're here!" Tyler's announcement nearly jolts me from my place.

My eyes blink rapidly before I realize we made it to my house. How did this guy get here so fast?
I swiftly turn to see the backseat was empty. He dropped off Thompson too? I glance back at him who held the fakest smile I've ever seen at me.

"Thanks" I mutter as I let the cool air whip through the car as I open its door.

I walk up halfway through the stone path before I hesitantly turn around to see Tyler bending inside his car to look for something. My deep breath was cut off into a choke when I hear his speaker buzzing for his attention.
He snaps his head up before he slips the speaker off its holder.

"...Lee..." a manly voice declares.

"I'm all ears, sir" Tyler replies.

I shake my head as I turn around; his business or career doesn't matter to me, just as all the information I got from Naomi does. Tyler never really helped me and I won't either; he's been nothing but nuisance this whole time.

"...There is someone... very Similar to the murdered teenager Bennett Blake wandering in the dock area..."

My heart dropped.
