When I was finally out of the hospital and able to go out again, I went straight for Tao. He could only visit me that one time in the hospital, since his work was so demanding, he opted to send flowers and other random gifts instead.
Honestly, even though he knows I'm a touch a person and not a gift person...
The doors opened in front of me and I walked in with a smile, seeing him standing where he always was, with his back to me.
"Hey, Tao!" I waved with my good arm, "I'm finally free! I can't do much because my arms still in a sling, but it'll have to do for now."
He turned off his monitors and turned towards me as I walked up to him. There was a certain look in his eyes that made me slightly concerned, he was glaring at me, but not in a way that he was angry at me.
"Tao?"
"You've missed a lot of time."
"Well, yeah, I was shot-"
"I want something to make up for it."I blinked, shocked. He was using my own tactics against me? Damn. I relaxed myself and breathed a laugh, "Alright, what do you want?"
"Considering you can't do much with your arm... I want you to kiss me.""Kiss you?! Why?!"
"Well, I know you like touch, so this should suffice as a thank you for saving my life." He smirked slightly as he stepped closed towards me, "Also, I suppose you could say I value you too."I blinked again, he really was a person of words, even though he was pretty introverted and never really talked a lot to begin with.
"Alright." I said, closing the gap between us, I brushed my lips against his just to feel where they were before I kissed him.Surprisingly enough, he kissed back, sliding a loose arm around my waist and making sure not to put pressure on my arm. We kissed for longer than I thought we would, before he let me go and turned to go back to work.
I let out a breath, still feeling my adrenaline racing."Was that your first?" He asked, turning away as I sent him a glare.
"Does it matter?" I asked.
"Not really.""Thanks, Tao." I muttered, though he heard me clearly, "Thanks for saying those things. Even if you don't actually care about me like that and never want me to touch you again, I'm glad my first was you."
He turned away from his work and shocked me by kissing me again.
"It would be more beneficial for me to be with you than not. Humans are meant to have companions, no matter how much others repulse them. You repulse me the least, so... I do want to you to touch me again."
"R-really?!"
"But only when the time is right. I'm not a free touch-toy."I burst out laughing, wincing slightly, "Yeah, sure. I wouldn't want to make you mad or anything. But if you want, you can touch me whenever."
"Of course you'd say that."I giggled slightly, falling into a wheelie chair and spinning around, "Boyfriend?"
"If you want to call it that, sure. I don't care for labels."
I smiled, shutting my eyes for a moment. Man, I'm so happy right now."When can we start having sex?"
"Don't push it." He replied instantly, glancing at me as I pouted, "Give it at least a month."
"You're the best, Tao." I giggled, moving to leave and head back to my apartment.I took a moment to look back at him as he was finishing up with his days work. Even though he would never show it, I knew it well that he loved the way I praised him directly. No matter how many people told him he acted like an AI, and found him weird and abnormal, I would always find him amusing.
