Just a sharing that I think quite interesting to tell the world. 😊

I was revising Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) topic and suddenly I remembered, there's one patient came to the rheumatology clinic, and he had this AS.

Still young, he got it when he was a teenager if i'm not mistaken at 23 years old but that was when he was diagnosed. The actual time he started to have it maybe earlier than that.

How destructing this disease, you know. When he was doing the BASFI (a questionnaire to rate the severity of AS), I could see that there's many activities he limited to do eventhough it just a SIMPLE thing such as putting the sock, reaching high shelf, getting up of floor. 😞

How would it be frustrating to us, if we had this disease. Allahu, Nauzubillahi min zalik. 😢

Frankly speaking, he is still young, currently 30 years old. Very handsome (serious talk no joke😍) . But this disease seems like taking his youth away when he should be at the peak of the world during this age.

For your information, AS is a disease in which the spine fused and caused stiffness so make him limited to do such things. There's still no cure for this disease as it is a progressive disease and keep worsen by time. 😢😢

So lessons to learnt are always be happy, be THANKFUL TO ALLAH for each things that we able to do, for oxygen we able to breath. 😊

Alhamdulillah. Sometimes we take for granted all of this 'anugerah'. . Remember this young man when we feel like want to give up with our lives. 💪💪
