Bestfriend to Boyfriend

prologue

PROLOGUE:

Samantha's POV:(it will always be Sam's POV unless it says so xD)

My name is Samantha Anne Spencer. I have hazel eyes, brown wavy hair, pale skin that makes me look like a vampire and is seven years old. My mom is Rebecca Sencer, she also has brown wavy hair and pale skin but has green eyes. My dad on the other hand has straight brown hair and has the hazel eyes. My bestfriend's name is Cameron Cooper and his mom is auntie Anna and uncle Taylor. His parents are my parents' bestfriends, so it natural happened that their son and me became bestfriends too. We were always together and almost inseperable. We sometimes fight but make up immediately thanks to our parents. 

"How long will you be gone?" I asked as Cameron was playing with his toy cars on our porch, savoring the summer sun here in South Carolina, waiting for our parents to finish talking. Our parents were great friends We knew each other since the day we were born though he was born on May 4 and I was born on the sixteenth of July. 

"I dont know Sammy, but momma says that we'll be staying there for a long time and that I won't get to see you that much when we get there" He said as he took my doll from me and put it in his car and started pushing it around. They were leaving for Seattle since his dad got promoted and they were going to have to move there. I didn't want my bestfriend to leave since he was my only friend. We were always together in school and didn't really talk to other kids in our neighborhood so it was just the two of us. I'll miss him and I'd be alone with no one to be my friend.

"We'll talk on the phone then, right Cam? We'll always be bestfrineds right? You wont forget me?" I asked nervously, hoping he would say 'yes'. He looked up at me and gave me smile.

"I'll ask momma if I can call you everyday. I won't forget you Sammy, you'll always be my bestest friend" he said and handed me back my doll. His parents came out of the door with my mom and dad. They hugged and said their goodbyes. Auntie Anna and my mom were crying while uncle Taylor shook hands with my dad and just smiled.

"Come on Cam, we have to go if we want to get to the airport on time" Auntie Anna said. Cam got up and held out his hand for me. I took it and stood up. We walked to their car holding hands and Cam turned to me before he got in

"Mommy and I made these for you" he said as he pulled out something from his pocket. "Give me your hand" he said as he held out his hand so I put my hand in his. He tied something around my wrist and grinned at me. "This is so you won't forget me and so that you'll always have me as a friend." I stared at the bracelet he gave me, tears started to prickle my eyes when I saw what he gave me.  It had a starfish and a blue string that was braided to wrap around my wrist. Two of my favorite things in the world coming from my favorite people. 

"Thanks Cam, I love it. I'll miss you Cam!" I hugged him tightly, tears started falling down my face, knowing that this would be the last time I was going to hold him before he goes away. Until my bestfriend goes away.

"I'll miss you too Sammy. Don't lose that okay?" he said, only making me cry harder.

"Never Cam" I promised.

"Come on Sam, they have to go." My mom anounced, I let go of him and kissed him on the cheek. 

"Bye Cam, bye auntie Anna and Uncle Taylor" I hugged each of them before waving to them as they drove off

"Bye Sammy!" Cam shouted through the car window as they disappeared into the curve down the driveway.

"bye Cam" I whispered.
