CHAPTER 2:
We were going to Seattle today. I checked my bags making sure I had everything I would need. I dressed myself in a white tank top, a cardigan, some skinny jeans and some ballet flats. I was about to close my door when I remembered the bracelet on my dresser. Maybe I should take it with me, give it back to Cam. I thought so I took it from its box and put it in my hand-carry bag. I ran downstairs and put my bags in the back of the car.
The drive was short. We checked in our luggage and took our seats in the plane. My mom was jumpy and excited, like always she was all bubbly and smiles. My dad was his usual calm, composed, self. The flight was pleasant. I just listened to my ipod and stared out the window. I kept on imagining what Cam would look like? If he'd changed and became a jerk. What if he doesn't remember me anymore? Wait! I slapped myself internally and shook my head. Stop thinking about him Sam!!
After three hours we finally landed. We got our bags and headed to the arrival. My mom searched the crowd for auntie Rebecca. They were going to pick us up and drive together to their house. My mom squealed when she saw her with uncle Taylor. My palms started to sweat and my heart started pumping faster. Why am I nervous? why do I even ask when I know the answer. Cameron Cooper.
"Becca!! I missed you guys" my mom hugged her and uncle Taylor. Rebecca still looked the same. Beautiful as ever. Uncle Taylor was wearing glasses but looked even better than before. He turned to me after shaking hands with dad.
"Hey kid. uh lady? dude? what do i call you now, seeing as your not a kid anymore?" he asked smiling at me. Cam got his looks mostly from his dad. When I looked at uncle Taylor, I saw an older version of Cam.
"Kid or Sammy is good uncle Taylor" I answered.
"You look good kid"
"You too uncle" I hugged him.
Auntie Anna came towards us andher eyes locked on me. "Samantha you've grown! You look so beautiful"
"Thanks Rebecca" and the we hugged.
"Where's Cam?" my mom asked.
" He's in the car. He's still tired from last night" uncle said
Last night? What happened last night? I asked myself but shook my head again. Stop thinking about him Sam!! I said to myself. I dragged my luggage and followed uncle and auntie to the parking lot.
When we got to their car my mouth almost dropped open but kept it shut to avoid embarassing myself. Cam was leaning against the car, doing something on his phone. He looked really good. He still had his brown hair and was wearing a black v-neck shirt, jeans and a pair of black converse shoes. His shirt was hugging his body, making him look like he just jumped out from a men's magazine. His shirt was tight enough to show his body leaving almost nothing to my imagination. When he finally looked up, the first thing he spotted were my parents. "Becca and uncle Aidan!" he voiced sending a shock through my body at the sound of his voice. He came to my parents and hugged them both. They hugged him back. When he pulled away, his grey eyes locked on mine, they captivated me. His eyes went down my body then settled back on my eyes. He smiled at me and my heart just stopped.
"Hi" he greeted sending another shock through me. His grey eyes looking at me, his brown hair all messed up.
I struggled to find my voice but when i finally found it I voiced out: "Hi Cam" I whispered "So you don't know my name anymore?" I asked. Raising one eyebrow at him
He started laughing sending more shocks and then he suddenly hugged me. My body stiffened at the sudden contact. It sent thrills through me at where he touched me. I relaxed and hugged him back. It suddenly felt like home to me. Like we were back to when were seven.
