Chapter 17 - Investigation

"Though you could kill me that easily?"

Shinso stood back up onto his feet with a bullet hole in his right fist. He had taken the bullet and redirected it with the hole in this palm away from his head. "My turn."

Shinso drew his hands together and despite the pain, summoned atmospheric lightning in between his hands, 'Weather Manipulation squares manipulation of the atmosphere, therefore generating wind, water or electricity from my hands are not only possible but plausible."

The Girl charged him with her pistol, using the knife on her other hand, to assist her aim. Multiple shots were fired but the bullets disappeared as it came in contact with the electric element.

The 'villain' swings his right arm and formed an electric whip, he managed to form a counter-attack and burned the girl from her right side to her back. The girl fell back onto the ground as she screamed in pain as she tries to crawl away, "Who are you?" Shinso demanded, "And who do you work for!"

Tears began to flow out of her eyes as a purple portal appeared behind her, she visibly panicked as a grey-ish hand grabbed onto the back of her neck and began to drag her backward. Shinso tries to rush towards the portal in an attempt to drag her back, but the portal disappeared before he could get close enough.

???: "Care for a status report?"

"An Assasin or something, she escaped," Shinso said, turning back to see Todoroki all suited up rushing towards him. Shinso wrapped his right arm around Todoroki's shoulder as he feels his wounds start to send pain. "Zuku had some business to deal with so I rushed here instead, you have some bad wounds, how're you feeling?" Todoroki said as he also wraps his arm around Shinso's back. "How does It look like I'm feeling bro,"

"Heh, very funny. Come on, Zuku left a portal open for us."

League of Villains base

...

???: "So! I see you've failed!.. Again!... Not surprising at all, to be honest."

???: "P-please, I swear I won't fail you again Shigaraki-sama!"

Shigaraki: "Hoo~? Isn't that what you said last time?"

???: "N-no I promise I won't fail next time!"

Shigaraki: " Yes, you said that. Now, remember what happened the last time you failed?"

???: "...N-no... P-please don't, I promise! I promise I won't fail again! Just n-not again!"

Shigaraki: "I'm going to enjoy this, now, it's time you to be punished for your failure."

The class is silent as it awaits the teacher, no one dared to speak or talk, Kirishima tried to bring the tone back up but always ended in extreme awkwardness, after the reveal of Midoriya and the others to the villains, the school has tightened it's security and would frequently ask students questions and test them for lies in case of another similar incident.

Bakugo: "Tch, What's with this F#cked up atmosphere you Bastards!?"

Class: "Eh?!"

Bakugo: "Ever since that stupid Deku and those two losers left, you bastards all act like your parents were killed! What on Earth is wrong with you?! They're villains! So what? Deal with it! They're not who we thought they were? So be it!"

Kirishima: "Bakugo..."

Jiro: "As much as I hate to admit it, he's right, we can't let a single event break us like this. If anything, right now the most important thing for us is to train and prepare to face Midoriya."

Kaminari: "He's not Midoriya anymore, he's the SS class villain 'Shinigami'."

Aizawa: "Yes, I'm afraid you're right on that matter, this is not the old Midoriya we used to praise, this is the most dangerous villain in modern history, surpassing All For One in priority level. That is why, today, you'll be choosing your Hero names and will all be conducting a special training course, Military Combat Simulation."

Class: "Military Combat Simulation?"

Aizawa: "Yes, you'll all be conducting a realistic combat simulation instead of doing normal internships. He heard intel from Detective Naomasa Tsukauchi suggesting that the National Socialist Union is massing its numbers as we speak, therefore we as U.A teachers and students all have to do the same."

Aizawa: "Midnight will help you all decide your names."

(Teacher's lounge)

"All Might, let this be a lesson to you or even the last! Seriously, I didn't think crushing someone's dreams were your thing?" Aizawa scolded, All Might look like he was having a mental crisis right on his seat. "Easy now Shouta, Toshinori already has it tough." Midnight says as she lays her head onto the table on top of her arms.

"I'm.... Sorry..." All Might muttered.

Nezu: "It's not the time for blame right now. As you may know, even with my quirk, the villain Shinigami may possess even higher Intelligence without an IQ quirk, making him highly dangerous. Recently word from Detective Naomasa suggested that they're mastering their forces and recruiting rapidly, we do not know where they're based and cannot follow any of their followers because of our low public opinion. I propose that we move our students into dorms and integrate the best security system we have, have every student in the support classes work on that and cyber warfare, as well as better support gear for the students."

Death Arms: "But isn't that kind of like making our school a military Campus?"

Nezu: "Exactly. In times like this, it is our only choice. You're all dismissed."

Teachers: "Sir."

Nezu: 'Izuku Midoriya huh? Interesting person indeed. I'm not sure we can win this, but we'll have to try."
