One Year Later...
Grace shot up in her bed with a gasp, the last thing she remembered being the bright purple fog that surrounded them all at the town line, and then... nothing. She furrowed her brows in confusion as she looked around the familiar room. This wasn't the Enchanted Forest, this was Storybrooke. Pan's curse was supposed to take them back... so does that mean they never left?
"Okay... what?" She yanked the covers off of her form, not even feeling like she just woke up. It's like she just appeared in her bed and didn't sleep in it at all, and so for that reason, she didn't feel a tad bit drowsy. She placed her foot on the ground and expected to feel the harsh cold floor against her skin, but didn't. She looked down to see her feet covered by her shoes which confused Grace even further. Only looking down at her figure now, she realized she donned the same clothes she had been wearing at the town line, and in bed apparently.
The girl stood up and got a good look at herself in the mirror. The first thing she noticed was her hair, as the dark brown locks had grown about half a foot in length from when she last saw it. She frowned and brought her hand up to her hair, quickly pushing it back behind her ear. She shook her head to herself before leaving her room to see if anyone else was here. Maybe they knew what was going on or if anything even happened. Her guess was that the curse just brought them all back here for no apparent reason, though that just seemed very unlikely.
Grace stepped down the stairs and nearly slipped on the last one in her haste. She glared down at the step before looking back up at the familiar Blanchard apartment. Nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary, other than the fact that there was a pile of dishes just sitting in the sink. She let out a curse when she realized it was supposed to be her day and that those dishes have probably been sitting there all night.
Grace was getting off track. Suddenly, a bed creak sounded from behind her, causing Grace to turn and soon see her father's confused figure. He, too, was fully dressed--thank god--as he slipped out from under the covers. His hair looked a bit different from before but she didn't question it. He looked around in confusion before his eyes finally met with her own, causing him to leave his bedroom and head straight for his daughter.
He looked around the apartment, though it was nothing more than a quick glance. Finally, his eyes landed back on Grace with a questioning gaze. "What happened?" He quickly asked, earning a sigh from herself. She was hoping he would know, but clearly, he didn't as he was asking her.
Grace reluctantly shook her head before letting out another sigh. "You got me." She spoke. She couldn't help but sound utterly hopeless when giving her response.
David sighed as he put his hands on his hips. He, again, looked around the apartment, as if that would answer his question. "Well, clearly something happened. I don't think we were all just teleported here in Pan's curse." He said, though she wasn't sure what gave him the idea.
Grace only shrugged, not seeming to find the thought that unbelievable. "Well, why not?" She asked, causing him to turn back to face her. "Maybe it failed, or maybe it didn't reach us in time." She let out, though the look he gave Grace told her that it wasn't likely. She knew that it wasn't, but she didn't like the thought of possibly something happening to them after the curse and they can't even remember it.
When she went to add more to her theory, she was quickly cut off by a familiar voice from behind. "David's right." Her mother let out, causing Grace to turn.
"Mom--..." She began, as she was initially happy to see here. The other thing she was going to ask was how she knew he was right, but the question never left her mouth as her lips instead parted in shock as she took in the sight of her mother. David gained a similar expression as the two of them just stood there and gawked at the woman.
