Storybrooke
Present"So, now that we know who we are dealing with, how do we find this Wicked Witch?" David asked aloud to no one in particular. Currently, they were all standing in the living room of the Blanchard apartment, the news of who their enemy is only now sinking in. Grace had never heard of this 'Wicked Witch' before today, but the name did sound familiar.
"Might I suggest we start by asking if anyone has seen a woman with green skin running around?" Hook stated, causing Grace to roll her eyes at the obvious answer.
"If it were that obvious, we would've found her by now." She let out, causing Hook to only shrug as if to say 'I tried my best'.
Regina seemed to have a similar reaction as she looked towards the pirate. "Not to mention we're cursed in Storybrooke. She'll look like any one of us."
Emma piped up with a hopeful expression. "Then we start somewhere we know she's been; Regina's office."
The mayor rolled her eyes at Emma's 'original' idea. "I've been over it with a fine-tooth comb. She left no trace."
"But you were combing for magic." Emma pointed out. "Maybe there's physical evidence that you missed."
David nodded as he backed his daughter up. "Good idea. We'll track her."
While everyone seemed to find this idea logical, Regina looked as if she had heard the most revolting thing. Quite frankly, she looked at them all like they were idiots. "If you want to waste your time playing Nancy Drew, be my guest. But we can't let Henry wander around alone with that witch and her flying monkeys out there."
"Well, especially since one of these flying monkeys could turn out to be his father." Hook added, the image he had now imprinted in Grace's mind being quite disturbing.
"Still no sign of Neal?" Snow asked sadly.
Emma shook her head. "No."
"Point being, someone needs to protect Henry. He doesn't even know what's going on." Regina came out with. Grace shot her a knowing look.
"Sounds like you're volunteering." She barely glanced at Grace while she said this.
"If you find anything, call me."
As Regina turned to leave, Emma quickly stepped up to stop her. "Just remember, he thinks we're here because I'm on a case." Regina turned towards the blonde with an amused look.
"Well, look who's gotten good at lying." Emma sighed at that.
"Just don't let anything slip up. As far as Henry knows, you're just Madame Mayor and that's it." Her response did not sit well with the mayor.
"I'm well aware of how Henry sees me." She snapped, and just like that, Regina left the room. Grace puffed her cheeks at the drama and turned back towards Emma, seeing an almost guilty expression on her face.
Finally after a long pause of silence, Hook stepped in. "Time is wasting. There's something wicked in your town. What do you say we go find it?" Grace half expected him to end his sentence with something like 'later', but the words never came.
Grace had to actually fill in the blanks for him because she knew she wouldn't last whatever witch hunt they would be doing tonight. "Is there a 'tomorrow' at the end of that statement? Because I'm pretty tired." Everyone turned back to face Grace as she said this. She couldn't help but notice the look of relief on David's features.
"You, go to bed." He pointed, causing Grace to furrow her brow at his persistence. "It's rare you're willing to go to sleep voluntarily; we might not get the chance again." He let out and Grace couldn't help but roll her eyes at his reasoning.
