I was happy that daddy still cared for me. He looked down at me. "Hey, Nessie. Your awake!" He said. I smiled. I touch his face. I show him mommy on the couch yesterday. Was she ok? "Yes, she's fine.see for yourself." He said. He lifts me to see mommy laying on the couch still. Her tummy was a bit bigger though. She looked fine, though. "Momma?" I ask. "It's ok, Renesmee. I'm ok." She says. "Why? Why do we need that baby?" I ask. "Because, it's already comming. We can't stop it." She says. I slump back into daddy's arms. "Ow, careful Nessie." He says. I ignore him and fall back asleep.

When I woke next, I was in my Jacobs arms. I touch his face. I show him mommy and daddy. Where were they? "They are at the cottage." He says. I touch his face again. I show him mommy and the cottage. Can I go? "Ok, let's go." He says. He puts me on his shoulders and runs to the cottage. We go through the door. Mommy is in her room on the bed. Daddy is watching her carefully. "What wrong?" I ask. "Well, sleepyhead, mommy isn't feeling good so she is going to lay in bed. Grandpa said she is gonna be almost the same way she was when you were born." He says. "I'm ok, though! I promise, Renesmee." Mommy said. I nodded but this way the first time I think she's ever lied to me. Ever
