I sat on the couch in the living room while loud growls raged outside. LA's thunderstorms were really something else. They were loud and messy.
So I decided to spent my day on the couch and write a few poems, seeing what has potential and what doesn't.
Jen was working as a therapist so I was alone. The next day I'd be back on set, filming and chatting with the other cast members. After some time it became normal and I had fun again being there.
However, not even my nicotine addiction could have forced me to go out that day. »That's a boring mess today,« I sighed and closed my laptop.
I closed my eyes for a few seconds and listened to the rain falling against my window very carefully. A soothing sound.
The minutes of peace and quiet soon got interrupted by the doorbell which aggressively got rang.
I sighed, who or what could this possibly be?
I slowly shuffled to the door and opened it a few inches to see who's there.
»Y/n, hey,« the brown haired woman softly spoke. I was about to shut the door again when she pushed her foot between the it. »Wait, please.«
»What is it?« I was surprised myself when I heard my stern tone. »Can I come in, please I have nowhere else to go,« she sighed and stroked a stand of hair behind her ear.
»Sarah, didn't I make it clear to you? Leave please.«
»You don't understand y/n, please can I enter?« a spark of hope could be heard.
»I'll give you five minutes, no more,« I hissed and opened so she could enter.
»So what is it that you showed up on my doorstep?« I asked disinterested while looking at my fingernails.
»I-I« she sniffled. It caught my attention and I looked up. »What's the matter?« I echo my question again.
»We argued and she packed all of my stuff,« Sarah sobbed. »And what can I do for you now? We had this before don't you remember?« I recalled the memories coldly.
»Y/n I told you that I was sorry and I should've never done this,« the woman claimed. »You know, I don't know what to tell you. I am sorry for what happened to you but there is nothing that I can do for you now,« I explained and walked in the door's direction.
»I know, I shouldn't have come sorry,« she mumbled. »Alright then, I'll see you on set,« I told her.
»Yeah sure.«
And then she left and it felt like a flashback appearing right in front of me.
My feet walked me back to the couch and when I took another look at the rain drained streets outside, a part of me felt bad for escorting her out of my apartment.
My mind just shut her out again and I opened my laptop to watch a movie on Netflix.

It was barely after midnight when my phone rang uncontrollably and so loud that I was about to throw it against something. I forgot to set it on silent mode.
I got up in agony to silence the device, but when I reached it I saw several messages from nobody else than Sarah. She rang a couple of times and texted me.
Jen slept peacefully, not even my phone could disturb her and I felt pity when I received those messages.
