»Where are you going?« my voice sounded tired. »I'm going for a walk I'll be back,« Sarah put a strand of hair behind me ear and made her way to the door. It was quite early in the morning the sun hasn't rose yet and a few clouds of fog hung over the city.

I heard the front door close and I let my head fall back on the pillow. My eyes were focused on the ceiling above and I was way too agitated to catch some more sleep.

My mind played with the thought of our current situation, will we make it? If we're going to date again, would it be better or worse than it was? Is someone going to get hurt?

All those thoughts brought me back to my sleepy state and I slowly but surely fell asleep.

I woke up to a soft caressing on my thigh. »Are you awake?« a slight whisper sounded from behind me. I just mumbled something to confirm that I was somehow awake. »I made breakfast, are you coming?« Sarah's hand searched for mine and quickly found it.

Slowly I sat up and scanned the room closely and when my sight reached the windows I recognised the clear sky, it caused me to slightly smile.
I quickly got up and followed the older woman to the kitchen where it smelt heavenly.

»Did you-?« I couldn't go on with my sentence when my glare shot to the dining table. »Yes, and I want you to sit down and enjoy!« Sarah smiled proudly and took a seat opposite from me.

I took a forkful of the French toast in front of me and chewed it. Beside the fact that it sometimes tasted a bit burnt it actually was quite a good thing. »How is it?« my opposite asked eagerly. »Perfect!« I muffled, »How come you turned into a chef over night?«

She just giggled and put her hand over mine, »Actually I had a little help from Lily, but most of the time I did it myself.« I knowingly raised an eyebrow and put another forkful of the toast into my mouth.

After we finished breakfast and cleaned the mess she left in the kitchen we both wanted to go to the beach and enjoy each other's company. Before my doubts could flood my brain again, I decided to quickly get changed and afterwards I hopped into the car to wait for Sarah.

The car ride was silent. Uncomfortably silent, sometimes she shot me a glare or gave me a soft smile. There was something unsaid between us and it was obvious.

It was oddly hot that day for the beginning of October. The sun shone bright from the sky and covered the whole beach in a natural golden light. »I haven't been here in a while,« Sarah suddenly stated and closed the car door.

I had to admit that the last time I was at the beach was some time ago, probably a year or so. I was too busy with work or personal stuff that I couldn't even give myself a day off to enjoy life.

A quiet sigh escaped my lips and I leant on the car to light a cigarette. I placed it perfectly between my lips and lit the the beginning of the stick and took my first drag.

I quite literally earned a confused glare from Sarah when her sight fell on me. »Since when do you smoke?« she emphasised you especially. I could only shrug while my eyes were fixed on the recurring waves and the few people who were surfing.

»What about we're going down there?«
»That's what we're here for, let's go,« I simply answered and walked over to her and bravely took her hand in mine. Hers was warm and almost as soft as velvet. My lips took a last drag of the cigarette before I'd step it out on the floor.

The older woman's arm carefully sneaked around my waist, I first had hesitated and I wanted to withdraw but when her hand caressed my right hand I threw away the doubt and leant in her embrace.

A little while none of us spoke a word until Sarah opened her mouth, »Is there something you want to talk about with me?«
I remained silent for a while before I could give her a proper answer.

»Is that what you want?« my voice became quieter in the end. »What makes you think it is not?«
What makes me think it is not?

»I just don't want to get hurt again,« I responded in a breathy voice, I didn't dare to look at her. »It's been quite a short time since we're spending time together again and I don't want to rush things and be left messy again,« I added.

She pulled me a little closer to her body placed a soft kiss on my temple. »I promise you that I'll never hurt you again. Let me prove it to you, hm?«
»How could you possibly prove it?« I raised an eyebrow and stared at the ocean again.

»Give me three months to prove you my love, and if I hurt you in that time, we never have to speak a word and you'll never have to see me again,« The woman explained and ran her hand through her short hair.

It sounded reasonable but I still had doubts, wouldn't be me if I hadn't. »Alright, three months.«

Three months from now on.

The first update in a loooong time hahah. I hadn't had any ideas really, I didn't know what to write anymore but yesterday an IDEA came to my mind and I thought I'll write it down as good as possible <33 I might be writing 3-4 more chapters and then I'll finish this book!💗

But I already had something for a new story in mind. I watched Hanna a few days ago and I was OBSESSED with Cate as Marissa. But before I'll write anything down I wanna finish this book first and brainstorm a little more.
