Ch 40 Aftermath I

(Location: Ruin Refuge, Magiland)

Above the chaotic battlefield with the dominance of eight dragons and a large army of flying hellions, a bird is flying there with its courage. None of the fighters has spare time to aware of it, neither the bird needs a concern. It is actually a mechanical bird that seems to consist of high-tech with its eyes acting as micro-camera. Although it is a kind of robot bird, it is allowed to fly on its own will because of the strange mind of the designer there. The reason for its presence on the battlefield is because of an order from its master.

Just some moments before the fight truly ended, Magiland's people are worrying inside the ruin of refuge because of their ignorance about the outside situation. Although some people present there to try to comfort the emotion, it is never an easy job to do it without real evidence of the quelling outside. However, the situation changed when a female seraph entered the place with her male companion. Her arrival caused a surprise to both the guild member working as back up and to the refugee there with her dove trick. She also applied extra mana to let the people with low resonance be able to see the trick. Magic and miracle are always enough to quell the anxiety, the magician knows how it works to humans.

"Ophelia, glad to see you back here with Mayvin recovered. The situation outside---"

"I know, I know. I am here to bring souvenir but seems not the right moment now. However, I have another present here to calm the crowd."

"What is it?"

"One of the works we studied to fuse modern technology with our seraphic arte. Time for the exhibition." The female seraph smirked.

"Now, now, the audience here, I am sure all of you are curious about the situation outside. Lucky that I am here to bring you all a special live broadcast so that even for people without enough resonance may see the situation." Ophelia announced with Mayvin translated next to her.

Then the video projected on a great wall in the ruin for the crowd may see it clear, now the situation outside is in real-time broadcast here. What the crowd doesn't know is that the live broadcast is brought with a mechanic bird flying outside acting as the Aerial camera.

Some of the crowd are terrified at first when they see the dragons but they are slowly calmed by the fighters out there fighting them with determination. The refugee does see hope when the fighters managed to survive and fight among such a messy battlefield with eight dragons out there. Even for some people still being worried, they are comforted by some positive words said by people next to them. With the firmness the fighters hold there, the people starting to believe there will be a victory. Their hearts filled with grate and they become the prayers to the fighters outside. It may be a small help, the prayers will be the supporting energy, sending the power to the seraphim fighting outside, become their power.

At last, the victory is here after the guild also arrives and build the wall outside Magiland. The remained 5 dragons are soon defeated with the power of collaboration between humans and seraphim. All hellions out there are quelled.

The situation was held hardly but successfully with ten people of Sorey, Lailah, Mikleo, Zaveid, Edna, Alpha, Velvet, Eleanor, Bienfu and Rokurou teamed up there, bravely standing outside Magiland to face the disaster. With the guild alliance came afterward, they allowed no hellion or dragon breaking the frontline of defense to enter the town and no death caused inside the town. Although there are some injuries caused while people are still going to the refuge ruin, the situation is good enough to be called a miracle.

It is pretty much a perfect result of this defensive battle, they were facing thousands of bee hellion army with eight dragons there.

Not to mention that the fight lets the people know the seraphim exist and they are protecting them, strengthened the belief towards the seraphim. It is a small step to enough contribute large step forwards the great dream of the coexistence of humans and seraphim.
