Chapter 17: Brought Up Mistakes

Y/n POV

I was walking in the woods by myself. Yesterday had been rough for me and Bendy. We had basically broke out the whole day and hallucinated over half of the time. I really hoped that would never happen again, but alas, I knew it wouldn't stay that way.

I made it to a small pond in the center of the woods. It had flowers growing to the edges of it and Lilly pads on top. There were little bunnies and some deer here too. It was beautiful.

I sat down by the water where I stared at my reflection. My eyes were tired and my hair was messy. I supposed I should've fixed up my hair, but I just watched it instead.

Very carefully, I felt a small nuzzle on my right knee. I looked to see what it was. It was a snowy white bunny with blue eyes and one black spot on the top of his ears. He was also incredibly fluffy. I was surprised as bunnies were usually very shy and jumpy.

I slowly let my hand down for it to see what it thought. It immediately rubbed its head against my palm. I smiled as I continued to pet it.

"Finally, something in this world that I can say is cuter than... er... Cuphead." I smiled. I wasn't about to curse rant at this bunny.

I leaned back so I was laying down. The bunny snuggled up beside me and began to sleep. I smiled as to how comfortable I was.

However... my comfort didn't last long... I saw a shadow hover in the treetops. I jumped up and the bunny was startled. I picked it up and held it close to me.

"Don't worry little guy, I have you..." I said to it as I observed my surroundings harder. That's when I noticed the yellow gleam in the dark. It was so bright, even though there was no light to bounce off of it.

My eyes glew red as my skin started to bubble and churn with ink.

"Who's there...? Show your jackassed self or face me..." I had covered the bunny's ears for that small word.

Suddenly, a figure walked out of the dark. She had ripped jeans on with a red cropped top and strawberry blonde hair. She had yellow glowing eyes as well as a golden sword.

I figured the most intriguing part was her wings. She had huge eagle like wings that were brown with a blonde colored fade in. I glared at her.

"Who are you...." I growled.

She chuckled and twirled the sword in her hands. "Your worst nightmare..." she hissed as she darted to me. She swung her sword and I dodged it barely.

I still had the bunny, so I made a thick inky layer of armor around us. The Bunny was buried in my hoodie, so I stopped holding it. My arms were free.

I shot inky darts over to her as she barely dodged them. One of them went across her leg and had cut her. She yelled angrily as her sword lit up with fire.

I had been trying a new ink technique. Since I could bring ink out of myself, I could use it for my own reasons. I made a little flap of ink and stood on it. The flap thrusted forward fast. I had almost fallen off to how fast it was.

I glued my legs to the flap and sped off. The girl was trailing behind, diving and flying fast. We started to go downhill a little. I figured out after a moment of remembering, this was the way back to camp.

I immediately picked up the pace as I crouched lower to go faster. The girl had almost grabbed me until I was out in the open. I slid so fast I didn't notice Cups walking directly in front.

I inhaled. "CUPHEAD MOVE YOUR FUCKING ASS NOW!!!!!!!!" I screamed at the top of my lungs.

Cuphead's eyes went wide as he was too late. I ran into him and all the ink went back inside of me. I was on top of him as I stood up.

The girl stopped and stared evilly.

"THATS RIGHT YOU BITCH." I yelled. "YOU BETTER STAY AWAY OR MY FUCKING-..." I paused. "BOYFRIEND-...W-WILL DESTROY YOU!!!!"

Cuphead sat up. "The fuckin hell...?"

That's when I heard a thud come from behind her. She made a stupid face, like she had... gotten hit in the head...

She fell over, her wings and sword going down with her. Behind her, Felix was holding a frying pan and he stared evilly at me.

"Boyfriend... eh...?" Felix sneered.

"Feeellliiixxx come on brooooo don't be like that I-." I tried to say in a chill tone of voice.

He dragged the girl by her hair, pulling her after him and glared face to face at me. "You are not allowed to have a boyfriend."

"Says who? You? Sorry but your not exactly my parents."

Felix stood up straight. "Well they would say that!!"

"Oh yeah? How would you know?!"

"Because that's what they would want and-."

"WANT??? WANT!! THEY NEVER WANTED ME SO WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THEY CARE!!!" I screamed into his face.

Felix shut up and had a confused face on. I let go of the bunny as it slid down my leg and tried to climb back up. I felt depressed and after speaking... Felix had never known, but he was about to...

"When I turned ten..." I said, biting my lower lip out of hesitation. Cuphead stood up. "Mom and Dad started to-... abuse me... saying that they didn't want me and I was a mistake... so one day I left for a solid three months... what did they tell you that happened?" I said quietly as tears formed in my eyes.

"T-They said you went missing on your way home from school..." Felix replied.

"Well... they lied... they had beat me up so much- one day I just walked out... I couldn't physically take it anymore... I wasn't worried about you though-... they loved you more than anything in the world... I was pretty sure I wouldn't miss you either... and obviously... when I got back you didn't seem to notice I was even gone..."

I immediately covered my mouth and started to cry. Felix was horrified as Cuphead hugged me close. I felt his glare at Felix but I could care less at this point in time. I clutched Cuphead's shirt in my fists and started to quietly cry harder.

"Y-Y/n I-."

"LEAVE US ALONE!!!" Cuphead's voice boomed loudly.

Felix had tears welling up in his eyes as he ran off. I dropped to the ground where the bunny was tugging at my leg. It hopped onto my lap as I hugged it.

My heart was shattered... and I couldn't do anything about it...
