The squad continued their journey to head back to their headquarter, happy to show their commander the time stone. As they walk through the enc

hanted forest, the group had been quiet. Well, thanks to Ray after he went mad for them taking pictures of him and Ariel cuddling while he's sleeping.

Ariel is in Ray's arms, sleeping peacefully. Only their footsteps and Ariel's soft snore could be heard during their journey. Hiyama and Hikari walked in front while Ray steadied beside the two swordmaster. Lolita, Sora and Arithia followed up from behind while chatting about girl's stuff, much to their dismay. 

Ray's mind wouldn't stop thinking. That nightmare, there's Ariel in it.

In his dreams, Ray saw a chaos burning up a village. Townsfolks bodies lying here and there. Houses burnt to the ground, the sounds of screaming abrupt the whole scenery. But what terrified him the most, the kids ran away from him. as they thought he's been destroying the village.

Ray brought up his arm, shocked to see it to be wearing a black armor with yellow stripes all over him. A purple aura radiates his whole body. His ming blew off when he saw his friends in front of him, with their weapons drawn out to face him. He tried to run, but stopped when he saw Ariel looking at him while sitting beside a dead old man, crying in full of tears. 

"Everyone! Please, there must be a misunderstanding!!??"

"Misunderstanding my ass. You're killing everyone you monster! We're not gonna let that happen!" Hiyama dashed to Ray full power. His sword swung to Ray's neck.

WAIIITTT!!!!

"Ray?"

Huh?

"You okay there man? You spaced out for a second," Hikari broke his train of thought. Ray looked up to see them looking at him in confusion. He shook his head and waved his hand, signaling them it was nothing important. Suddenly, the bush started to rustle.

BAM

"ATTACKKK!!!!"

A huge amount of thugs lounged to their direction. Catching them of guard.

"Sacred Spell: Team Replacement!" the group reappeared 5 feet away from their last spot, canceling the thugs attacks, thanks to Ray's quick reflex. The thugs looked at them with fire in their eyes. They made line before a huge thug with beard and scars in his face, walked in front of them while holding an MK2 rifle. 

The group let out their weapons and stood their ground. Ariel woke up from the noise and completely got scared. Tears formed on the corner of his eyes. He dug his face deeply into Ray's embrace. Ray activates his armor and helmet, preparing to attack.

"You have something that's mine, correct? So bold of you people to attack my thugs. We don't need to fight do we. How about........ a trade?" the leader spoke with his rusty voice. Hikari bluntly shouted to that fool.

"As we will make a trade with you! Now let us go before you all gets it!"

"Ah... feisty as ever. Don't worry. It's simple. Just give that damn brat and you guys can go away with that stone. I just need the kid for trading. You guys only wanted the stone right? It's a win-win situation !"

The group's eyes went wide. They knew about the stone. But if they trade Ariel, then.....

Ray put Ariel down in front of them.

WAIT WHAT?

"Ray, what the hell are you doing? You can't give Ariel. Are you nuts!"

"Ray!"

Ray didn't moved even an inch. Ariel went into tears. Is he really going to do that dumb trade? So it really is not worthy to trust Ray after all.... Right?

"You can have Ariel all for yourself," Ray said with a low voice.

The leader smirked. "See my friend, that's what I call a genius. You guys should follow this friend of yours," 

Ray smirked. He went in front of Ariel in a protective stance, stunning the others and the thugs. 
Ariel's eyes went wide. A small smile crept up his innocent face. While the others smiled at Ray's action.

"You can...... after you crossed over my dead body!!" his aura changed. 

"Arrogant brat. Kill them all and get me that little cat boy !@#*#" 

"We'll help you Ray,"

"No need," the team got confused as Ray smirked. 

"Just hear the sound of their Screams" Ray charged through the crowd, revealing his true self.

"Weapon Master: Blade Enhance!" his blade turns into elemental aura. He slashed every enemy in front of him, giving them no chance of escaping and a free cut to the neck. He spun around and activated another trap.

"Mindset : Blitz!" his arm device flashed a bright light through the thugs, blinding them and stunning them. Ray used his final form.

"Tempest of Blades!" he dashed around the battlefield in a blur while stabbing the thugs without mercy. Their screams lighten up the atmosphere as they poorly tried to escape his deadly skills. Only to be leaving their leader, struggling to stand up in a normal way.

He coughed up blood. Ray walked slowly to his prey. His blade still open for another kill. The leader laughed maniacly.  He stared into Ray's black eyes. 

"You had it in you, you're one of them. I should've known that mark," 

Ray grabbed him by the collar of his shirt as his blade stabbed his chest. he groaned as the sharp blade pierced through his skin.

"Shut up fool. You don't have the right to talk,"

"Oh really. How are you gonna take care of the kid when they know you were the one who destroyed their village! HAHAHAHA" he laughed. Ray's eyes went wide. He gripped it tightly before slamming his blade piercing his chest completely. 

"Heh, Phantom clan, you're gonna betray your friends in the end," his head hung low. His arms went limp and his breathing stopped. Signaling him being totally dead. Ray pulled back his sword, thus making the body fall down to the ground lifessly. 

The others were stunned by Ray's action. They were ordered to knock out enemies, not killing them. Well, unless if the're armed just like the thugs. But they didn't know that he's that thirsty for blood. Ray's aura begin to turn normal. He withdrew back his blade into it's socket before walking back to his friends, grabbing Ariel into his arms in the process. His eyes were dull and his face is full of regret. Ray turned away his face from the others as he spoke. "Let's get going. You don't want to make Hunter worried do you?" 

Hikari and Arithia jumped a little as they forgot about their son. They nodded and started to make their way to the base. Until next time, where they will now either what Ray is, or who he is.
