Tessa

"Hey, Tessa?" Ezra said. "Yeah." I said. "Come with us." "Where you going?" I asked.

"A little initiation Dauntless style."

"Where exactly," I asked nervously.

"Don't worry it's just a little flying. Your sister's doing it." He said. "Actually, I'm good for tonight, though but, thank you."

"You sure," he said.

"Yeah." I said before walking away.

As I walked down the hallway, I thought about Eric. He was on my mind more than I would ever care to admit.

I smiled a little at my thoughts while looking to my feet. Suddenly I crashed into someone who felt more like a brick wall. "Oh, I'm sorry," I mumbled as I looked up at the person.

I let out a little gasp as I looked up into Eric's light blue eyes.

"It's okay, Tessa."

I nodded as I bit my lip. I stayed in my place waiting for Eric to walk away or something, but he just stayed there.

I could feel his eyes staring holes into me. "You know for someone with so much attitude you really are quiet as a mouse when we're alone," Eric stated as if it was the simplest thing ever.

"Maybe, I'm just not in the mood to talk." I shrugged.

"What's wrong," Eric asked. "Nothing."

I then tried to move around his body. "No," Eric grabbed my arm, "Why don't you walk with me?"

"Why would I do that," I crossed my arms.

"Why wouldn't you?"

I looked at Eric for a minute before sighing, "Fine." Eric smiled softly before dragging me down the hallway. "We can talk about something if you want." I told Eric.

"Why didn't you leave when I said you were out?"

I shrugged, "Because I have a problem with authority." Eric laughed before sighing. "Fair enough."

"Why am I following you down a dark hallway?" I asked once I looked at my surroundings. "Because I like you and I wanted to train." Eric smiled at me before pulling me into a room.

He flicked the lights on. I looked around the room in awe. There were weapons lining the walls and a mat in the middle of the floor.

"Pick a weapon," Eric said ask he took off his jacket. I rolled my eyes before picking up two knives.

I slid on in my boot then walked over to the mat.

Eric smiled at me. I smiled back as I copied his stance. He swung first as I ducked.

He swung again causing me to dodge him again. I had a plan. I knew if I tired him out I could win, so that's what I did.

Every time he would swing I would move and dodge his hits. "Why aren't you fighting back?" He asked. I only shrugged my shoulders. Suddenly, I threw my foot forward into his stomach. "Shit," Eric grunted.

There was a proud glint in Eric's eyes as he swung on me again. I hissed as his knife grazed my side a little.

I then dipped down and nicked his legs.

"You learn fast," Eric smiled.

I rolled my eyes, but smile once I realized that I had him where I wanted him.

Just a few more steps and he would be against the wall.

I continued to move forward, so he would move back.

Finally, his back hit the wall as he knocked my knife out my hand. I pulled the one out of my boot and put it up to his throat. "If you move, I can kill you." I told him.

"But you won't," Eric smirked and began leaning down.

He used my distracted state against me as he flipped us and knocked the knife out my hand.

Eric then connected our lips as I sighed out in content.
