Chapter 10

Timeskip to that night
Daisuke (POV)
Everyone was in the mess hall having dinner. Everyone was talking about random bs but Eren and I caught ear of Jean talking about the interior and the MP's again.
Eren- Listen to you guys. Interior? Five years ago, this was part of it.
Jean- You got a point to make friend? I'm right here.
Daisuke- Poor Jean. So stupid and misguided. I don't think your big ass head would fit in the interior.
Everyone within earshot begins to chuckle.
Jean- Very funny.
Daisuke- Seems a little backwards if you ask me. Fine tuning your titan killing skills you that the brass will station you somewhere you don't have to see such creature.
Jean- You'd rather I was good at getting killed? Thank you but I'll pass. I'd rather play the system than get gnawed on.
Eren gets up from his seat.
Eren- You son of a bitch!
Jean- Bring it on bastard.
They grab at each other's shirts and get in each other's faces.
Armin- Eren stop it.
Within less than a second, I'm behind Jean with my arm wrapped around his head and neck in a rear naked choke hold. I have a death glare on my face.

Daisuke- One wrong move Jean and your neck snaps.
Mikasa stands up from her seat.
Mikasa- Gentlemen please.
She makes Eren and Jean let go of each other. She then looks at me and it is as if she's telling me everything is alright. I let go and she holds my hand. Jean immediately grabs Eren again and pushes him up against the wall behind him.
Jean- You think you can judge me!!!!
Eren- You rip my shirt you're dead!!!
Jean- I don't give a damn about your shirt!! You pissed me off!!
Eren- What are you crazy?!!
I'm back in the same position as I were before.
Daisuke- You should be more worried about losing your life. I loosen my grip and transfer to a waist lock. I lift him up and fall backwards into a German Suplex. Keep the the wrist locked, I roll through and spin him around, and pull him into a clothesline.

Daisuke: Rainmaker!!!!!
Jean get turned inside out and he falls on his head and neck and is slow to get up.
Jean- Damn it. What the hell was that move?
Daisuke- A little something called being a badass. It's what training does to you when you're striving for a goal that actually matters instead of having a thumb up your ass dipshit. You honestly believe the military police is your meal ticket to the good life? You're not a soldier. You're a clown. No Joker or pennywise.
Indigo: Aw come on! We were doing so well. Why now?
Daisuke: The opportunity presented itself. I'm not sorry.
The door to the mess hall creeks open and Keith peers in.

Keith- Would someone care to explain the little ruckus I heard just now? I DO HOPE EVERYTHING IS ALRIGHT.
All three of us go back to our seats.
Mikasa- Sasha passed some gas Comandant.
Sasha- Huh?!!!!!!
Keith- Why am I not surprised?
Sasha- Huh?!!!!!!!
Keith- For the love of god please learn some self control.
He leaves and I end up getting a slap to the back of the head by Hikaru.
Hikaru- Dumbass.
Daisuke- Mhmm.
The rest of the night was filled with dirty glances between Jean and I and Mikasa never let go of my hand for the rest of the night either. Also I did get this one particular look from Annie as well.

Timeskip the night of the graduation ceremony
Time went on and of the original recruits 218 cadets graduated. Some with honors. I was one and one of the top ten in my class alongside Mikasa, Eren, and Hikaru. After the ceremony we went to celebrate at some bar. All night people kept asking us why would we choose the scouts.
Daisuke- Listen and listen well. The Scouts have been me and Eren's goal ever since we were kids. And now that they've taken something precious from us, something that we can never get back, our path is clear. We never wanted the easy life in the first place. We train to fight and slaughter titans. Period. The end. End of discussion.
