Pam opened the front door. It had been a chaotic showdown. First, Tick kept cornering her. Then, she nearly got eliminated by Frank. She also came face-to-face with Shelly and her super...

"I gotta check bushes more next time,"Pam sighed as she walked into her room and placed her weapon down with a thump. Scrappy bounded up to Pam and rubbed her leg. "Hey, little Scrappy..."Pam said as she bent down to pet the robotic dog.

He barked and looked up at Pam with his big, cute eyes. Pam couldn't help breaking a small smile. Her daughter, Jessie, was really good at making machines like this. "Mark my words, she is gonna become an expert inventor by the time she grows up," Pam mumbled as she scratched behind Scrappy's ears."Speaking of Jessie, do you know where she is? I haven't seen her today..."

Scrappy barked and led her to Jessie's small room upstairs. Pam put her ear on the door. She could hear some intense keyboard typing in her room. She knocked on the door and entered, greeting, "Hey, Jess.."

Jessie's room looked like a very typical bedroom....if you took away most of the mess. She had a bed, along with her own personal workspace and computer. Nuts and bolts were scattered around the room from several attempts to make machines. Some places were also filled with soot and ashes from the accidental explosions of the machines a minute after activating them. Some did work, though. For proof, just look at Tick, a project she and Penny worked together to build. In the process, they messed up his voicebox by accident.

Jessie looked back from her computer. "Hey, mom!"she said with a cheerful tone.

"Whatcha doing on the computer? Seems complicated,"questioned Pam, now looking over Jessie's shoulder.

Thousands of lines of codes were strewn across the screen of her computer, filling up every gap. Pam could barely make out any of them. Either there were too many of them, or she really needed an additional pair of glasses(she preferred the former reason, for it would look odd to wear them).

The little aspiring inventor chuckled, explaining," I was thinking of making a game the others to play on 8-Bit. But I don't want it to be just any boring video game. I want it to be a virtual reality video game!"

Pam raised an eyebrow."Those are really hard for people to maneuver, Jessie. I tried doing that once and I literally fell down the stairs and nearly destroyed Scrappy, you know." She snorted, cringing at the very horrid memory.

" Well, that's what I obviously don't wish to happen. That's why I invited Tara over just now, while you were at showdown. She used her awesome magic stuff to cast a spell on my codes so that the person playing gets into 8-Bit!"Jessie beamed, satisfied by her own explanation.

"What if it's a fighter game and they die inside the game?"

" Oh, it's ok. Check this out!"

Jessie fished out a CD from her rack of programming CDs. "This morning, I took a lot of these CDs from the storeroom. They contain shortcuts so I don't have to type out all the codes. This one apparently is the shortcut for respawning when dying in the game!"She showed a green-striped CD.

"This red-striped one is the shortcut for getting the gamer out of 8-Bit... this purple-striped one is for.."she explained for a while, placing them on her desk.

Pam wasn't listening, mostly because she already knew what most of them were for. Besides, she had created them herself.

"I just need to slot them into my computer and... there we go!" Jessie looked at her creation and saved it into her screwdriver-shaped thumb drive.

"That's amazing, sweetie," Pam rubbed Jessie's head. "Who should try it first though?"

"Maybe I can get a few friends to try. Some brawlers like to take rests on weekends," Jessie pondered excitedly. She couldn't wait to demonstrate this new video game to her friends.

What could possibly go wrong?
