Bibi walked up to Jessie's house. At the same time, a portal struck open and Tara leapt from it. Bibi yelped."Hey, don't do that! You nearly scared me to death!"she said to Tara.

Tara shugged, saying," Well, we die about a million times a day and still survive, don't we?"

Bibi and Tara looked at each other for a moment. They both suddenly burst out into laughter and ran towards the door of Jessie's house, still giggling like crazy.

Tara pressed on the doorbell and waited. There was a voice screaming,"Coming!" and the door suddenly opened. Scrappy pounced on Tara the second he saw her.

"Ack!" Tara screeched as the robot puppy smothered he with oily licks of its metal tongue. She chuckled and placed the dog back on the carpet.

Bibi laughed as she hugged Jessie, saying, "It's been way too long, Jess! Now what's it ya wanna show us about? A video game?"

Jessie's lips stretched to become a big smile and said,"You'll see!"

She led them through the hallways greeting Pam as they climbed up the stairs. Jessie opened her door. 8-Bit was sitting on Jessie's bed, twiddling his thumbs. His eyes glowed as he fidgeted on the bed.

"What's 8-Bit doing here?" Tara wondered out loud.

8-Bit waved at them, his cheerful blue smile displayed on his screen.

"Oh, he's going to help out... or rather, be the video game arcade machine,"Jessie said, sauntering towards her computer and grabbing the thumb drive."Let's see... "she mumbled as she grabbed a small device and connected it to 8-Bit. She connected the thumb drive to the device's USB port.

"What is she doing?" Tara whispered to Bibi. "Shh, she's probs doing that weird tech stuff  to connect the game to 8-Bit,"Bibi whispered back. None of them had as much experience in technology as Jessie, even though she was younger than both of them.

8-Bit's screen started reloading and displayed a glowing yellow arrow, pointing at one of 8-Bit's buttons.

"Okay, here you go! Both of you, press that button at the same time and close your eyes. You'll be playing the game soon!" Jessie said with a wink.

Tara and Bibi did as Jessie told. All of a sudden, a cloud of purplish smoke enveloped them completely. By the time the smoke cleared out....

They had disappeared.

Jessie cheered," YES! IT WORKED! Ok, gotta press here, then after that, check on them..."

Bibi opened her eyes. She looked around, incredibly confused. A world was forming around her,yet...

"Huh, I don't remember that Jessie's room had a start button--wait. WHERE'S MR. BAT?!"

Bibi sat up. Had her bat been stolen or... destroyed? She looked down. On her lap laid a sword...with Mr. Bat's face on it. Bibi breathed a huge sigh of relief. All of a sudden, the sword flew to her hand, as it was bonded to her hand. "Odd," Bibi mumbled.

It was only then that she realised that her clothes had changed completely. She tugged at her blue braids and observed her coat. Something caught her eye. Resting on her leg was a body. A body...with the head bandaged.

"TARA?!" Bibi screeched. " WHAT HAVE PEOPLE DONE TO YOU?! WHAT HAPPENED?! ARE YOU DEA--"

A frustrated finger pressed against  Bibi's lips."I'm NOT DEAD, Bibi," Tara muttered as she rose. She then noticed her clothes had changed too. She now donned blue clothes and blue bandages. Her eye now hovered as a hologram from its metal badge. Her tarot cards floated in her open palm, glowing.

"Where are we?"mumbled Tara breathlessly. The room they were in was dark, with just a floating button that said "START".

"OMG," Tara gasped in surprise.

"What is it? WHAT IS IT??"

"I-I think we're inside the game."
