"We....ARE WHAT?!"

Tara winced, covering her bandaged ears. For a girl like her, Bibi could really scream.

"Yes, indeed! You two are actually inside the video game!"

Tara and Bibi yelped and turned around to see where the sudden voice came from.

"It's just me, Jess!" Jessie said again.

The duo breathed in relief. Jessie was talking through a microphone connected to the small device. She was watching them through 8-Bit's screen, which was shown in third-person. "Testing, testing...." Jessie said in a monotonous tone, which made Tara and Bibi laugh.

"As you can already see, your abilities are still the same, yet you have a brand new skin I had programmed into. Once you're ready, press the "START" button and you'll embark on an amazing adventure!!"announced Jessie with excitement.

"Do we get to destroy stuff?"Bibi asked.

"Well the enemy bots, yes--"

"LET'S GO!" Bibi screamed with a fully charged bloodlust, tugging a surprised Tara along, and smashed the poor "START" button.

From where they stood, the background folded out, drawing a vibrant landscape and obstacles, all green and purple coloured. Light green barrels, walls, lakes and skulls popped out of nowhere and settled on the hard ground. Basically, it was a bigger version of showdown. The duo gasped in surprise. Jessie had really done a lot of programming into this game.

Suddenly, a green flash hit Bibi on the back. "OW!" she screamed in pain.

Behind them, an army of bots had formed behind them, their black metal reflecting the pixelated sun and green eyes glowing with anger and hostility. Green veins representing their intricate intergrated circuits lined the back and arms of their bodies. Speedy bots, melee bots, sniper bots... they lined the perimeter of the arena and came ever closer. "Attack mode:activated," said the sniper robot who had shot Bibi.

"You'll pay for this," said an enraged Tara.

Almost immediately, she threw her tarot cards at the offending robot. They pierced the robot and faded into square particles. Sparks danced in the air as the sniper bit fell, dropping its gun with a metal clang.

This angered the other robots, and they charged. Bibi swung her at the many speedy bots. Then, she shot a precisely-aimed bubble towards a low-health melee robot.

Tara was also holding out well. She had thrown several of her gravity wells, reducing bots to scraps.

Soon enough, the battleground was all clear, with the bots' scraps scattering the entire field. Bibi picked up the deactivated head of a sniper bot.

"Gosh, it just looks--and feels--so real!" Bibi exclaimed, smacking the head away with the flat of her Mr. Bat sword like a baseball.

"Of course!" Jessie chirped."Thanks to Tara's magic, players can touch and see everything in a 3D format!"

"Thanks, Tara!"Jessie and Bibi said.

"My pleasure," replied a proud Tara.

"Ok, I'll leave you with the boss battle!" Jessie said.

"Hol up, we have a BOSS BATTLE???!!"Bibi inquired with great surprise.

As if on cue, the Boss robot appeared with a cloud of green smoke, towering over them.
