Chapter 14 - Game (Actually) Over!

"I think they're winning!" Mortis said excitedly over the noises.

"Ya think so?"Nita said as she popped another handful of popcorn into her mouth.

Frank and Bo continued to stun 8-Bit, who was fast turning corrupted. The virus had invaded over half of his body.

Mortis, Nita and Leon, on the other hand, had sat down with a bucket of popcorn.

"Wath some, Jethie?" Leon asked as he munched on his popcorn.

"No thanks," Jessie mumbled as she tried to figure out how to defeat this virus. It seemed to be unknown. No cure, no way to destroy it...

How are we to kill this virus inside 8-Bit?

"Wait, wait , wait... OHHH yes!" Nita screamed in excitement.

Jessie sighed. "Look, Nita, could you be a bit quiet? I'm trying to find a way to defeat this unknown virus!"

Nita shrugged in response."They are nearly there."

Jessie looked in confusion and watched 8-Bit's screen. She gasped. Somehow, her friends had managed to corner the virus.

Well, this will make it easier.

Jessie sat down next to Nita.

"Leon, I changed my mind. Can I get some popcorn?"

Bibi grabbed Malware Tara and placed Mr. Bat. The blade touched her neck. A smirk tugged at Bibi's lips.

"Go on, do it,"Malware Tara hissed. "Just try. If I die, I bring your friend's body down with me. Don't you think that's wrong, hm? Admit it:it's a stalemate."

Tara's visible eye lowered in anger behind Bibi. Bibi knew that Tara wouldn't have a body to live in. Her black shade had too little health and...well, there wasn't much call for magicks in Brawltopia other than Gene.

However, she needed to eliminate this creature inside Tara.

"I'm not gonna kill you. Actually, it's quite similar."

Malware Tara cocked her head in confusion. Suddenly, Bibi transformed her sword back to a bat and swung, crashing it into Malware Tara's ribs.

She heard Max gasp behind her. A coal-black monster flew through the air from its body. His green concave kite on his eye cracked and shook.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THIS TO ME?!"the creature screeched in anger and pain.

Bibi stepped back. The monster leaped forward, using the wall as a spring board, and got ready to possess Bibi's body.

Bibi closed her eyes. But she felt nothing. Not even a little nick. She opened her eyes and saw Mini 8-Bit #419 holding a black and green disc.

"What was that?" Tara questioned, walking towards the happy robot.

"Let's just say, this disc is just full of some weird music, eh?" the Mini 8-Bit laughed.

Tara took hold of her own body. She looked like herself again. All the corrupted parts had disintegrated, leaving a bit of green smoke.

Tara then grabbed the disc. She wrapped it in a black magical rope and dropped it into a portal.

"To a faraway realm you go," she mumbled as she turned back to Max and Bibi.

"Well done!" the Mini 8-Bits said in unison to the trio, who thanked them back.

Bibi looked over to Tara, who smiled back. She was still in pain from the battle, but looked fine and still strong.

"Alright,"Max said."Where's the exit?"

Silence came over the group. 

"Errr... there's an exit?" one Mini 8-Bit said.

Bibi started to panic. Were they going to be trapped here forever? How would they even li--

"Hey, look!"

A spark ignited behind them. It exploded, forming a portal.

"Game over!" A voice said, showing their scores above the portal.

"I guess it's time to go,"Bibi said. "Bye guys!"

They all exchanged goodbyes before leaving off to the real world.
