Chapter Nine

I wake up and look to see that I'm in my room. I hear a soft snore and know that its not mine.

Last night was amazing, we went to this amazing diner down the street from our school. Their food was to die for!

After dinner, we went to the dance and danced the whole night, once I got home I took my shoes off as quick as you can 'my feet hurt like hell' and threw them into my closet.

I look over to see Calum. His head was on my stomach. His curls at the top of his head were all over the place.

I kiss him on the head then slowly go down to his lips. I feel him grinning against our kiss, "that's an amazing way to wake up." He says while grinning.

I kiss him one more time before I get off of my bed. I walk into my bathroom and wash some excess makeup off my face. I grab my brush and brush through the snarls that have accumulated overnight. I grab one of the elastic on the counter and throw my hair into my usual high ponytail. I walk back into my room to find that Calum isn't in there anymore.

He better not be hiding so he can scare me. I walk into every single room (except my parents room.) He isn't anywhere to be found. I walk back into my room and walks to my dresser. I take my phone off the charger and quickly types my password into my phone. I text Calum a quick 'hey, where did you go lol I already miss you lol :-) . He quickly texts back with a quick 'sorry I left to get ready for school, I'll pick you up in twenty minutes with a suprise X.

Looking at my closet, I grab some clothes that I think match and change into them. I look down to see how the clothes work together. I'm wearing a spaghetti strapped dress with lace at top. I walk into my bathroom and i quickly brush through the matted down curls from last night. I grab my dark purple flower crown with beads and wrap it securely around my head. Little mascara will have to work today, I have such little time. I brush my teeth and walk out of the bathroom. I grab my black vans and quickly tie them.

I hear a soft knock at the door and I quickly go to the door. I grab my large black shoulder bag and throw it on my shoulder.

I open the door to see a HUGE teddy bear.( like the ones that are six feet tall) "Calum?" I ask. I walk around the bear to see a paper on the ground. I pick it up and unfold it. It says, "PBX-234" what the hell is a PBX 234?! After about 10 minutes of just starting at the paper, I finally guess that is probably a license plate, probably Calums. I grab the bear and start walking.

I walk down the street to his house, I find his car in its usual spot. I notice another paper, buts its on the drivers seat. I unfold it and it reads, " Back to the place only you and I share. Remember all the memories?
The fireflies and make-believe
Kicking back in the old school yard."

Is this supposed to be lyrics to a song? I know most songs and their lyrics, but this doesn't sound like it would be one.

I look at the part 'back to the place only you and I share' again.

The park! That's our place! I throw the piece of paper and push it into my bra, I shouldn't have worn a dress today! There are no damn pockets!

I swiftly run to the park in record time. Where the hell is Calum? I walk to the part of the park with the swings and slide. I climb the ladder up to the little slide.

I find a white paper tucked into the slide, it's barely showing. It reads, " She sleeps alone. My heart wants to come home. I wish I was, I wish I was beside you. She lies awake. I'm trying to find the words to say.
I wish I was, I wish I was beside you."

My bedroom! There must be another clue there. I slide down the slide and run back home in a hurry.

I get to my house in record time. I take a deep breath so I can try to get more oxygen into my lungs.

I grab the doorknob and slowly twist and open the door. I find one more note on the ground. I pick it up and open it up to see what it says.

You thought this was something important? Lolololol just kidding. It is. Meet me in the back lovessssssssss :)

I stuff the paper in my bra and run towards the backyard. I open my back door to see the back of Calum.

"Calum?" I ask. He turns around with what seems like a thousand roses in his hand. I run up to him and wrap my arms around his waist. "Is this all for me?" I ask him quietly. "Of course babe, this is all for you. If I could give you the world I would, in a heartbeat."

"But, I have to ask you a very serious question. Juniper June, I know that We've only known each other for 8 weeks, but I feel like I've known you for forever. It started out with just me picking you up for school. I didn't think anything about it. You are my neighbor. But once I picked you up at your house the first day of school I thought you were the most beautiful girl in the world."

"Calum that's so ni-"I say. "Babe, let me finish." He says with a bit of anger in his voice.

"I've wanted to ask this since the day I met you. Not trying to seem creepy or anything. But Juniper, will you be my girlfriend?"

"Hell yes."
