Chapter Eight

2 WEEKS LATER

I quickly turn on my music on my phone and press shuffle. The song 'Riptide' by Vance joy comes on. I love this song!

I take off the clothes that I had on, which was a yellow big T-shirt and grey sweatpants. I take my hair out of my elastic and walk into the hot shower. I knead the shampoo and conditioner through my snarley hair. I wash my body and shave. I turn off the water and wrap my towel around my body.

I walk out of my room and change into something quick. I walk back into my bathroom and brush my hair.

I grab my phone and turn off the music.

'What are we planning on doing today for homecoming? :)

I walk back into my room and lay on my bed waiting for a text from Calum.

I hear a ding sound coming from my phone. I unlock it to see his message.

'I'm coming over @ 12 and we are going to lunch then the beach, so bring a swimsuit. Then I'll drop you off and you'll get ready for the dance. I'll pick you up again @ 6ish for dinner then the dance! :) this is going to be an awesome dance

I reply quickly just saying sounds good. I open my closet and pick out a simple blue bikini top with Aztec patterned bottoms. I slip a pair of shorts on and a crochet bustier top. I put on a pair of sandals and walk into the living room where everyone is watching TV.

After watching two episodes of home and away I finally hear a knock. I walk to the door and open it to a rather good looking Calum in the door. He's wearing a blink-182 shirt,simple black swim shorts and flip flops.

I scream my goodbyes to my family and walk with Calum to his car. We get into his car.

Fifteen minutes and a dance party in the car later we get to the restaurant where we are having lunch at Quay restaurant.

"Do you have a reservation?" A curly red head asks. "Yes, under Hood." Calum says back. "Right this way." She says while walking to our table.

She places the menus at our table and walks away. We sit down in our seats and look at our menus.

The waiter comes and asks if we are ready. I order the Raw smoked Blackmore wagyu with horseradish soured cream, fermented rye crisps, and raw funghi. Calum orders Congee of Northern Australian mud crab, fresh palm heart and egg yolk emulsion. He walks away to make our food.

We make small talk while waiting for our food. Mostly about his soccer career and favorite things. "So Juniper, what's your favorite color, number, animal and place to visit." He asks. "My favorite color is soft pink, seven is my favorite number, favorite animal is a panda bear and my favorite place I've been to is South Carolina, I went there when I was six, we stayed there for a week and it was so much fun! It was only my dad and myself though, this was before he became abusive. We visited one of his friends, Steven Cartee. It was amazing." I answer back to him.

The food finally comes and we start eating. I first eat my Raw smoked Blackmore wagyu.

After we eat Calum pays for our food, I argue again that I should pay for it, but of course he pays for it.

We walk out of the restaurant and walk to Sydney Cove, which is right behind the restaurant. We find a spot on the beach which is unoccupied. I take off my shirt and shorts and run to the water, not caring if Calum was behind me or not. I jump in the water and swim around.

I feel muscular arms wrap around my hips, making me scream like a little girl. I look down to see who it is, of course it's Calum. He drops me on his shoulder and playfully slaps my ass . "You got a nice ass June." Calum says. My cheeks turn red because of what he just said.
