I woke up to the gentle touch of H/N lips on my cheek and then a whispered “Morning Beautiful” in my ear.
“Morning Baby” I replied softly as I opened my eyes blinking slowly him as tender face came into focus. I laid there and drank in the beauty of his face at the morning sun glistened off it.
With the sound of the others moving around us my mind raced back to reality. We were here on the beach some of us with nothing between us and the world but those blankets. Thank goodness H/N and I had redressed after our sexcapade in the ocean last night.
“I am starving. Who else needs nourishment?” F3 exclaimed standing up and stretching.
“Sure we worked up an appetite” F1 replied trying to hide the fact from all who surrounded them that he and F1/GF were redressing under their blanket.
“Yeah we all heard you two hard at work deep into the night” F4 laughed as he helped Alicia stand up from the sand.
“Shut up F4. There were some moans and groans coming from your side of the fire too” F1/GF shot at him as she threw sand at him.
“That wasn’t them” F2/GF said softly blushing as she and F2 stood up.
“Yeah what kind of guy do you think I am having sex on the first date” F4 chuckled “I mean Alicia wanted me but I told her we should wait.”
Alicia stood there and got as red as a sunburn. “Ok…ok changing the subject let’s see what are we going to eat?” I interrupted the conversation.
“Hey F3 what about that dinner down the beach they have an amazing breakfast menu don’t they?” H/N asked
“Yes Sunny Side Up has one hell of a breakfast setup. Let’s pick up here and head that way” F3 responded as he started to gather up blankets and one of the coolers.
“Hey can we girls go to the bathroom real quick while you guys finish picking up here?” F2/GF asked.
“Sure Babe go ahead we got this” F2 said giving her a gentle kiss.
“Come on ladies lets go wash the beach off give us 15 minutes guys” F1/GF said as she kissed F1.
Paige kissed F3, Alicia and F4 kissed very sweetly. I placed a tender kiss on H/N’s cheek. Then all of us girls headed into the house then locating the bathroom. As we cleaned up and fixed our hair I held it off until I couldn’t stand it any longer.
“So how are you two getting along with F3 and F4? Or is that a silly question?” I asked knowing the answer but wanting to hear it from them.
“Yeah ladies how are things going?” F2/GF inquired too.
“Come on spill it” F1/GF spouted at them.
They both looked at each other in the mirror and smiled. “Ladies don’t kiss and tell” they responded in unison.
“But I will just say that for me F4 is an amazing guy in so many ways” Alicia said.
“Come on Ladies the men folk are going to leave you behind” F3 yelled down the hall.
“Alright we are coming damn hold your horses” Paige yelled back at him as we walked toward the back door to join the guys.
We walked down the beach each couple hand in hand laughing at F3’s jokes. When we reached the dinner we decided to sit on the deck. We enjoyed our breakfast talking through the whole time.
As I look around the table it hit me that this is what true friends no family looked like. “I want to say thank you to all of my new friends for making me, Paige, and Alicia feel like family from the first moment to Paige and Alicia for being there for me no matter what to H/N for being my Knight in Black Leather” I said raising my glass as I felt tears streaming down my cheeks.
