It has been two weeks since the Beach weekend Paige and Alicia have been out with CC and Jinxx every weekends and lots of week nights too. They really seem to be getting along very well. Ashley and I have been out with the other two couples a few times and we all have plans this coming weekend. We have become quite a close group and I love having friends I can trust in my life with no strings attached.
I have been spending more time at Ashley’s place than mine cause it is easier for to drive the distance to my job than for him. With it being Wednesday I don’t work today so I made a trip to my place to grab different close and do some housekeeping.
I hear my phone going off I walk back to kitchen picking it up to read ‘Hey girl what are you up to today?’ it was Paige.
‘Just come home to get some cloths and clean a little bit. What you up to? I answered.
‘I am off and with CC working I am bored out of my ever lovin mind. Can I stop by?’ she responded.
‘Most definitely how long will you be?’ I answered.
‘10 minutes’ she typed.
‘See you then hey stop and get some drinks please I have nothing here’ I replied. God I have not gotten to see her or Alicia since the beach weekend. I have gotten text from both of them but we have not had any girl time.
‘Ok make it 20 then’ her last text read.
I finished up my last load of cloths then packed some back into the bag to take with me and watered my plants.
Before I knew it she was knocking at the door. I ran to answer but she was impatient as always and I almost ran right into the door as it came flying open. She stepped in carrying a bag filled with stuff.
“God girl I have missed you” Paige squealed as she dropped the bag on the floor and wrapped her arms around me.
“Oh, me too. But you have been spending all your free time with CC. I want details” I chuckled as I squeezed her back. After we finished our embrace I took her hand and lead her into the kitchen we poured ourselves sodas grabbed the snacks she brought then walked back into the living room and got comfortable on my couch.
“Well CC is an amazing guy. We have a lot in common but we are also different in so many different ways. That first weekend we clicked right away. He told me all about him and I told him all about me. Then our first “official” date the following Friday he took me to my fave restaurant that I told him about it during our talks. He really listened to what I said and remembered it” she explained with the biggest smile.
“That is so sweet Paige” I said reaching to squeeze her hand.
“We have had 6 dates in two weeks. We have spent every spare minute together it has been the most amazing time” she giggled.
“Oh Paige I am so happy for you” I grinned.
“Thanks Shannon it is because of Ashley. Him coming into your life has had a positive effect on all of us. He seems to be more than just your Knight” she responded.
“Yeah he is an amazing man that is for sure. So Alicia and Jinxx seem to be getting along great from the text we have been exchanging over the last few weeks I can’t wait to get to see them together this weekend” I said.
“Yeah us five couples getting together on Friday night is going to be a great time” Paige said.
“I know I am so happy that Ashley’s friends and my friends are getting along so great. So much easier being in a relationship where neither one of us has to give up friends or endure people we don’t like” I commented as I munched on some Cheez Its.
