Sanctuary Is What She Wants [NAKAHARA CHUUYA]

Chapter 8

"Higuchi, their location?" Chuuya inquired.

They left the Port Mafia headquarters for almost half an hour already and they were currently riding one the mafia's helicopter that will bring them to the port near Haneda Airport in which the captor of Last Name was expected to arrive.

"They are still approximately seven kilometers away from Haneda Airport and two kilometers before they enter Tama River." Higuchi informed.

"Still far away but it will be better if we arrive before them." The executive suggested which made the pilot worked on making the aircraft to go faster.

"Please be safe, Last Name." Chuuya can only hope for now that he was still far away to protect her.

NAKAHARA CHUUYA

"Let me enlighten you with everything, First Name." Hiroko took a chair and placed it near Last Name, taking a seat himself.

She was not responding to his words. Since she couldn't see him from her position, she only settled her head to look down, arms crossed over her chest and with her back leaning behind her.

"Our family is composed of researchers just like I had told you. Our parents indeed have recognitions before and that led them to have a few applicant researchers to work under them that's why they created the organization, Red Eye Alliance."

"What?! You---I see. So you are the leader now." She didn't expected that she'll be hearing that name again. How come she didn't even have a single clue about it?

"Surprise much? Your face is giving it all away. Moving on. It is an alliance of researchers, that's why. And as for the Red Eye, well that is because our family possesses red orbs. Simple as that." Hiroko faked a smile but believe him when he says that he was amused because he is.

"And so? Tell me, what does our family really experiments on?"

"We have machines, medicines like I mentioned earlier. We also have you."

"Don't be ridiculous." Last Name widened her eyes, cause why in the world would they do that?

"When your ability manifested at the age of ten, it intrigued both father and mother. Amusing that such power is residing within their daughter's body. They experimented you using the machines that they had invented. They are completely drawn to the possibility that your power is limitless and it can be enough to destroy humanity."

"Don't mess with me. My ability won't reach that extent."

"I am not. Humans are interesting species and luckily you are one of the most interesting one. When I was on the right age to start with my work as a researcher, I helped them in working with your ability."

FLASHBACK

"Mother, First Name might really have it." Hiroko at the age of 20, approached his mother with Last Name's lab results after conducting a research on her.

"This is..." His mother was astonished with what she was reading.

"Just not being able to control abilities but also being able to steal them. Not proven yet but this hypothesis is not impossible. It is limitless, so to say, as she goes on to live everyday, there is always this slightest bit of change, development rather, within her powers. It's amazing."

"Hmmm, this can be right. We cannot take a blind eye on such astounding possibility of evolution. We'll work harder on this."

"Don't you have a heart?!" Last Name slammed her arms again.

She was mad. This ample of gratitude in her heart that she has for her brother were all wiped out and replaced with grudge. All along, those memories that she had forgotten was all for good if that can only be the case that she was just used like an experiment rat. If the mafia did not infiltrated their facility six years ago she might still be suffering from the hands of her godforsaken family.
