Kai had to go to the nearby college that he takes online classes for because they set up a meeting with all the students who take online classes. He had switched his usual laptop bag for an actual backpack and wore a simple red T-shirt and jeans because it was too hot to wear his usual outfits.
Sometime in the middle of when the meeting was happening, the phone to the bakery rang and when Dabi picked it up, the person on the other end informed him that they were a nurse at the hospital. She explained that Kai and some other dude had apparently gotten into a fight, when the other man tried touching Kai after cornering him in an isolated area of the campus. Kai had fought back against the man but not before they had delivered some serious damage to him and ended up breaking Kai's left arm.
Kai was currently awake and had gotten a cast for his arm already, some bandages on his face and parts of his prosthetic arm were messed up or chipped. The nurse asked if Dabi could please come and fill out some paperwork and get him discharged because he wouldn't stop asking for his fiance.
