Not alone anymore

Chapter 19

I wake up the next morning to the sound of knocking on the bedroom door. I wipe my eyes and sit up. I hear the knock again and I say. "Come in".  The door opens and it's Regina. "I'm sorry I woke you dear. Zelena and I were think about making a late breakfast and we were wondering if you'd like to join us".  I yawn and ask. "What time is it?"  "It's almost 11 am. We were thinking of making some eggs and home fries and probably some bacon. You know the usual things. Care to join?"   "Sure I'd love to. Thanks". She smiles and starts to walk away then stops. "Oh I'm sure the coffee is still hot but it's a few hours old, I could make some fresh for you if you'd like".  "No that's ok. I'll be fine. Thanks. I'll be down in a minute". She smiles and nods, then closes the door as she leaves. I get out of bed and put some sweatpants over my boxers and a t-shirt over my sports bra. I go into the bathroom to do my morning stuff then I go see what's happening in the kitchen. They both are hard at work. Regina is at the stove frying up the bacon and Zelena is cracking eggs and putting them in a bowl to whisk them so they can cook. "Good morning. Anything I can help with?"  "No dear we are all set just have a seat and help yourself to some coffee and orange juice if you'd like. Zelena and I have everything all taken care of. It'll just be a few minutes till it's all set".  "Ok thanks".  I sit and make a cup of coffee and take a sip. Then I get a glass and pour some orange juice. "Can I pour anyone some juice while I'm getting mine?"  They both said sure so I fill the other classes on the table. The plates are set on the table and it looks delicious. I hardly ate yesterday so I dug in right away. Everything was delicious. When my plate was empty I definitely could have had at least 2 more plates. "I take it you liked it Emma?"  Zelena asks me. "It was just what I needed. Thank you both".  They both smile at me. "Emma there are no more eggs but I could make some if you'd like. There is a little bit of bacon and home fries left also".  "Regina no that's ok. You don't have to make me more eggs but I wouldn't mind the rest of the bacon and home fries if that's ok".  "Of course it's ok dear. I'll get it for you".   She takes my plate and goes to the stove and gets me the rest of the food and I eat all of that too. I help the sisters clean up then we all go into the living room. I sit in a chair while Regina and Zelena sit on the couch together.  "You have to work today Emma?"   "No Zelena. I'm actually off the next 2 days, which is fine with me because I'm exhausted from working all these hours this past week. I think I almost put in just about as much as Granny did".  I say with a little laugh and a smile. "So you really have been liking it?  Regina told me that Granny says your doing really well and your a quick learner once you get the hang of it".  "Yeah I actually really like it. I've learned a lot, even a few recipes".   "Oh really. Did you hear that Regina. Maybe Emma could make dinner for us tonight".  Regina smiles at me. "Oh no. I don't think I'm ready for that yet. Just because Granny showed me what to do doesn't mean I remember all the ingredients and the proper preparation. Maybe next time Zelena".  "Come on blondie you must remember some stuff. Just give it a try".  "Zelena leave her alone. If she doesn't want to don't push her. She'll do it when she's ready".  I smile at Regina and say.  "Thanks. I promise when I go back to work I'll ask Granny for a recipe and directions on how to make it".   "That would be lovely Emma, but no pressure ok?"   "Ok thanks Regina. I appreciate that. So moving on from me". I said with a chuckle. "What do you gals have planned for today?"  "Not much dear, but it is supposed to be a beautiful day maybe we could take a ride up the coast and go to the beach. Stop at a few shops, walk around for a while maybe have some pizza or seafood or something".  "That sounds lovely sis. I haven't been to the beach in years. What do you say Emma?"   "I don't know. Maybe you 2 should just go and enjoy the day for yourselves. Have a little sister time. I'm sure you'll be heading back to London soon".   "Yes I will be leaving in about 3 days but I'm not doing anything today unless you join Regina and I.  It's up to you Emma. Either we sit here all day and let the day waste away or the 3 of us could go out and and enjoy the day together. Make the choice".   I look at Regina and she shrugs. I don't think she was expecting her sister to say that. "Alright I guess I can tag along if that's ok with you Regina".  "She smiles and nods. "I'd like that very much Emma. Please come along with us".  "Ok then. I'd love to. I'm just gonna go take a shower. I'll can be ready in about a half hour. Is that ok?"   "Of course dear. I think we all need time to get ready".  We all get up and go upstairs to get ready. I let Zelena have the bathroom first and Regina took a shower in her room. God I wish I could have joined her but we definitely aren't ready for that yet. I finally get in the shower and try to be quick. Zelena took her time. We all met in the foyer about 45 minutes later and I drove Regina's  Mercedes suv up to the beach because I hate when someone else drives when we have far to go so she let me drive. I was surprised when she grabbed onto my hand to hold it like we always do when I drive and I didn't move my hand away. We are still in love. So we had an agreement and I'm sleeping in the guest room it doesn't mean we're over. I give her hand a gentle squeeze and I smile. God I love her. Please let us be able to work this out. I get off the exit that heads toward the beach and ask where we want to go.  "Could we start off with a ride up the coast then we can come back to get something to eat".  That was Zelena's suggestion. "I wouldn't mind that. The views are nice. What do you think Regina?"   I give her a quick look and see she's smiling. "That sounds lovely and maybe we can pull over where that look out point is".  "Oh yeah that's right. That area is beautiful".   "What are you two talking about?"   I answer Zelena's question.  "Oh Z a few miles up the road there is a little pull off area where you can walk around a bit and look out over the ocean. Off in the distance there is a lighthouse that adds to the view".  "That sounds nice I can't wait to see it".  The rest of the ride was quiet.  Regina and I were still holding hands. I really liked it. I see the pull off coming up so I put on my directional on and pull into a parking spot just off the road. We all get out to look and start walking around. Zelena goes off on her own and I walk towards the edge. It's all blocked off by big boulders so you can't just keep on walking and fall into the ocean that's all they way down. I'm standing there looking out into the water with my hands on my pockets when I hear someone walk up behind me. Soon enough Regina was by my side. She loops her arm through mine and puts her jeans on my shoulder. "Thank you for driving us up here my love. It's such a beautiful day and spending it with you and my sister just makes it better".  I turn my head and and kiss the top of her head. "Your welcome babe. I'm glad I had today off so I could join you. It's so nice and peaceful here isn't it?"  She lets out a sigh and says. "It definitely is dear. I love the sound of the ocean, the occasional seagull flying around, and even the smell of the salt water. Is a little intoxicating don't you think?"   "Yeah it is. I love it here".  We both hum at the same time and just keep looking out. There is a pretty boat slowly sailing across the ocean.  "Maybe someday we can do that Regina".  "What's that dear?"  "Be on a boat sail along the ocean sometime".  "That would be lovely dear".  "Of course we still have a lot to work on but I believe in us Regina. We can and we will get through this".  She looks at me and smiles. She slowly leans in. She's hoping for a kiss. She's very slow about it. I think she waiting for me to refuse her but I don't. I also lean in and we kiss and again it's just a kiss. Just lips on lips just like yesterday. Unfortunately we are interrupted by Zelena but it was ok.  "All right bitches, I'm hungry when are we going to eat?"   Regina and I separate and look at Zelena.  "Gee Zelena dramatic much?"   "Shut it Regina. Emma please take us to eat".   "Ok I could use something to eat. Let's get in the car and we can decide what we want on the way back to the main beach areas".  We all get back in the car and head back in the direction we came for from.  As we were driving back Regina googled restaurants near us and we decided on a place called Al's seafood. It was busy but we got a table right away. The 3 of us looked at the menu and I new what I wanted and so did Regina and Zelena. When our waitress came over the sisters both ordered a glass of wine and I had a ginger ale. I still have to drive home. I ordered a jumbo lobster roll and sweet potato fries along with a boiled lobster.  Regina got and Zelena shared a plate of steamers as an appetizer then Regina got the blackened Mahi Mahi and Zelena got the surf and turf of steak tips and cajun grilled swordfish. When everything was delivered to our table it all looked incredible. It all seemed fresh and smelled delicious, and that's what it was delicious.  We all ate and had great conversations. We didn't get any dessert because we wanted to go to the beach center to get ice cream or fried dough or whatever else we wanted. I got a good parking spot at the beach and we walked around a bit. We bought a few souvenirs like t-shirts and shot glasses. I just had to play a few arcade games and then we got what we wanted as a dessert. Regina and Zelena got an ice cream sundae at a place on the corner while I went for a fried dough. We all sat on a bench and looked out at the people walking around. Regina and I shared little bites of what we both got. It was actually very nice. When we were done we got into the car and I drove us back home. It really was a great day. The 3 of us watched a little tv then we all decided to go to bed. Zelena walked upstairs first then Regina and I went up after everything was locked and shut off. Just like last night we stopped in front of her bedroom door. "I had a great day Regina. Thanks for letting me come along".  "I'm glad you were there Emma".  We smile and stare at each other. I just want to take her in my arms, kiss her all over and make love to her. No. Not yet. That can't happen yet.  "I should probably get to bed now babe. I'm tired. It's been a crazy few days".  I place kiss to her lips and and smile at her. "Goodnight Regina. I do love you".  "Goodnight Emma. I love you too".  We kiss once more and I start to walk off to the guest bedroom. "Emma wait, please".  I stop and turn around. "Emma dear I was hoping we could talk tomorrow. If that's ok with you. We really do need to talk".   "Yeah I know I'm just scared of what the out come of this conversation will be".   "Emma do you still love me?"   "With everything I am Regina. I love you more than I could tell you". She smiles.  "I feel exactly the same way Emma. Nothing bad can come from this conversation unless we turn it that way. I know we need to talk and maybe we need professional advice but we can talk that all out right?"    "Yeah. I believe we can". I walk over and kiss her. "Night babe".  "Goodnight my love". We kiss again and I go to the guest room. I change and get into bed. I lay there in the dark for a while and think of Regina. "Fuck it". I get up and go into Regina's room. All the lights are off. I close the door behind me as softly ask.  "Baby are you awake?"   "Emma what's wrong?"   "Can I sleep in here tonight? I just want to hold you. I miss you so much Regina".   "Oh yes please. Get in this bed my love". I couldn't move fast enough. I get in bed and snuggle as close as I could to her. "Baby I love you".  "I love you sweetheart. Hold me tight please".  "Absolutely".  I gently squeeze her and give her a kiss on the cheek as I'm holding her from behind. It was so comfortable that be both fell asleep quickly.
