Not alone anymore

Chapter 39

I feel kisses being placed all over my lips, my cheek and down to my neck then Regina starts to speak. "Sweetheart it's time to wake up. It seems you have made me and the baby very hungry with that workout we had all night".   "Hmm ok babe".  I say then yawn. I can here her chuckle.  "Wake up Emma. I know you must be hungry. Your always hungry my love. So come on wake up".  She kisses my lips then shakes my shoulders. I roll over onto my side and open the nightstand drawer. I reach in and pull out something. I look at it and roll back over and hand it to my wife then close my eyes again. "Emma Swan-Mills. I tell you that me and our child are both hungry and you hand me a take out menu. Fine Emma thanks for caring so much".  She gets out of bed and stomps into the bathroom and slams the door. "Shit".  I get out of bed. Put my boxers and shirt on and go to the bathroom door. I knock and say. "Babe I'm sorry. Please open the door. I thought we could get room service. I already saw the menu. I'm sorry if you thought I didn't care. Baby please open the door".  I knock again and Regina slowly opens the door then walks out. She stops in front of me and looks me deep in the eyes.  "Are you telling the truth Emma?"   "Baby since we've been together I've never lied to you. Why would I start now?"   "I do believe that Emma but why did you just hand me the menu and the close your eyes and try to go back to sleep?"  "Because I already know what I want babe. I swear I wasn't trying to blow you off. If I was I would have done such a better job at BLOWING you off. If you know what I mean".  I say with a big smile on my face.  Regina laughs out loud and gently slaps me on the shoulder.  "Damn it Emma I'm mad at you don't make me laugh".  I put my arms around her and pull her into me and say.  "But I love your laugh babe and I don't like when your mad at me".   "I know we are new to this marriage Emma, but you should probably get used to me being mad when you just hand me a take out menu and make it look like your going back to sleep".   "I'm sorry babe. Would you like to go down to the restaurant and have breakfast?"   "Not really. We should have breakfast here in bed my love".   "Sounds wonderful babe. Look over the menu and we can order".   We get back in bed and and she looks over the menu. "Emma just about everything sounds so good. I'm not sure what to have. You said you already know what you want my love?"   "Yup".  She lets out a laugh. "Would you care to share with me what you want sweetheart?"  I laugh a little myself and say. "Yeah sorry babe. I want a broccoli and cheese omelette with home fries, sausage patties and wheat toast, and I'm sure you'll be happy to hear that I also want and side of fruit salad and a banana".   "A banana dear?"   "Yeah. I've been having leg cramps and Granny told me I need more potassium and that I should eat more bananas. I've been trying to eat at least 1 or 2 a day".  "So you've been eating them at home also?"   "Yeah sometimes".   "Oh I wish you would have told me. I would have bought more. I thought my sister has been eating them".   "Nope. Mostly me. Sorry. I should have been buying some also in case you need them".  "It's ok sweetheart. So are we ready to order breakfast now?"  I kiss her.  "Yes definitely".  We both smile and kiss once more.  Regina picks up the room phone and dials the extension to the restaurant that does room service. She puts our orders in and they say they will get it there as soon as possible. For a hotel with about 500 rooms, our food was delivered in about 30 minutes. It was nice and hot and Regina and I both enjoyed every bite.  After we ate we googled things in the area. I saw one that I really wanted to do which was cruise around the harbor.  For an early May evening it was beautiful out on the water. There was a slight cool breeze but we both had a heavy sweater on and we held each other the whole time so it was actually very comfortable. As we got out to the open area of the water they slowed down a bit and a few members of the captains crew were walking around to talk to people. One woman stopped and asked how we were enjoying our time on the ship and we said we loved it and that we had just gotten married but haven't had our honeymoon yet so this is kinda a mini get away till we get to go. She said she had just gotten married also almost 6 months ago and got to go to Hawaii on her honeymoon. She asked how long we've been married and I said almost a week now. she gave us a sad face and gave us 2 tickets. We were surprised. We didn't know why but she said have a good time and I hope you get that honeymoon soon.  She leaves and Regina and I both look at each other then we look at the tickets and they are for an entry into the wheelhouse. Which I now know is where the caption navigates the ship. A little while later we get the signal to go up and see the captain. We stand in line with about 5 other couples and wait to be let in. We finally get in and it's awesome. All the equipment is cool and looks very confusing to me. We get to ask the captain questions if we want. I actually didn't ask any because this guy was very good at explaining what everything does. The view from up here was incredible. When everything was all over with the captain, we all started to leave to let the captain go back to his work. Regina and I were the last couple in line to go out and everyone in front of us went so slow leaving. I looked around the the water area in front of us and I see this big ship headed to pass by us go in the direction we just came from. I think I remember what that is. "Holy crap. Captain is that what I think it is?"  "Emma!!  What are you doing?"  "Oops. Sorry captain. That ship there to the right, is that The USS Constitution?"   "You have a good eye Miss?"  "Mrs. Swan-Mills. You can call me Emma".  "Yes that is the USS Constitution. Not many people notice that. They just think it's a cool looking ship. How did you know?"  "I grew up in a group foster home in Boston for most of my childhood. One of them was near the harbor".   "Excuse me captain. Their tour of the wheelhouse is over I can show them out if you'd like?"   We were interrupted by some stuck up looking skinny dude with only a name tag on his uniform. "Relax Ensign. They are fine. Continue on with your duties".  He didn't seem to happy.  "Yes sir".  He closed the door and left.  "Sorry about that Emma. Please continue".   "It's ok. If your busy my wife and I can leave".   "No that's fine. Please go on with your story".   "Ok  thank you sir. First, this is my wife Regina".  They shake hands. "Like I was saying, one of my group homes was near the harbor. I never had any money but I always went one to look at that ship when I had to get away from the home. I love US history and I thought the coolest thing was living where the revolutionary war played a big roll".  "That's really a great story Emma". The captain says to me. He also says that the ship will be docked for the next week at the harbor we left from.  "Oh wow that's great. Hey babe maybe we can go down to see it before we leave".  My wife smiles and nods.  "Have you ever been on the ship Emma?"  I laugh a little. "Oh god no captain. Foster kids don't get an allowance. I just went to stare at it and pretend I'd hide somewhere just to get away from those awful places I had to be in.  Oh crap. I'm sorry. We should really let you get back to work".  I shake his hand.  "Thank you captain. Ready to go babe?"  "Wait please Mrs. Swan-Mills. They will be conducting tours starting tomorrow. I have passes for you and your wife if you like to go".  "Thank you captain I appreciate that but we are leaving tomorrow. We are just here for the night. Thank you anyway and thanks for having us up here".  I shake his hand again. Come on babe. Let's go". I take Regina's hand but she doesn't move. "Actually sir. We have decided to stay for a few days. My doctor says I need to stay away from stress for a while. He hands 2 tickets to Regina and we leave. We go back down to the next level and sit in the seats to look around as the harbor cruise continues on its journey.  After a few minutes of sitting in silence Regina asks.  "Emma dear why did you stop talking so quickly to the captain while we were in there?"   I kiss the side of her head and say. "No reason babe. It's beautiful out here on the open water isn't it?"   "Yes it's very beautiful dear. Please answer my question".  "I did. It wasn't anything. He's the captain of the ship and had to get back to work and I wanted to spend time with my wife".  "Emma why won't you tell me the truth?"  I quickly turn to her and say.  "Regina there are about 50 other people around us right now. I'm not about to spill my guts anymore. We'll talk about this later".  She nods and I turn back to look at the water. The cruise goes on for about 45 minutes more and then they are docked and we start to get off the ship. "Emma look that Boston ship you like so much is docked right over there".   "That's great babe. You ready to head back to the hotel? I'm getting hungry and I need to pee". I never even looked over. I'm just aggravated right now. "Sure my love. Let's go back to the hotel".
