It is said and shown that each one of the Spongebob characters show a resemblance to one of The Seven Deadly Sins and it is explained why each are given what. Some think Spongebob is the sin lust but Spongebob might just be the leader of all the sins and he is his own sin.

Mr. Krabs - Mr. Krabs is known for being a cheapskate and hoarding as much money as possible. He always makes everyone pay for events and always ups the price whenever he gets the chance. There was even the episode "Selling Out" when Mr. Krabs sells the restaurant for a bunch of money so it is without a doubt that Mr. Krabs's sin is greed.

Sandy Cheeks - Sandy takes a lot of confidence in what she creates and where she's from. She is very proud that she comes from Texas and makes it very clear to not use the word Texas in vein. She is very confident in what she makes and was extremely proud of herself when she broke all the records in the book. Sandy goes to show the sin pride.

Plankton - Plankton has gone his entire life trying to steal the Krabby Patty secret formula using many failed attempts. Plankton lives in his own restaurant, The Chum Bucket, with no customer ever entering. He has to sit at his window everyday and watch the Krusty Krab blow up with satisfied customers and money. Plankton's sin is envy.

Pearl - Pearl has always had a thing for Boys Who Cry and dreamed about them constantly with posters of them on her wall. Pearl is a teenage girl who constantly thinks about boys like Billy Fishkins. It is without a doubt that Pearl's sin is lust.

Patrick Star -  Patrick is our classic lazy guy who lives under a rock. Patrick eats anything and everything all in one sitting and is unemployed. Patrick takes a lot of chill days and therefore his sin in sloth.

Gary - Gary comes obese in many episodes due to overfeeding and is always asking for food when we see him. Gary loves to eat, in fact it is probably his favorite hobby, and he even has the audacity to run away when he doesn't get fed. Gary's sin is most definitely gluttony.

Squidward - Squidward is a very easily annoyed guy when something doesn't go his way or something distracting happens when he's trying to focus. Squidward is always mad at Spongebob and Patrick for constantly annoying him and even more annoyed when he has to work at the Krusty Krab. We see Squidward disliking everything and really only likes his clarinet. It is very easy to see that Squidward's sin is wrath.
