Every seemingly happy show always has at least one dark theory to go along with it. Event the Fairy Odd Parents has a twisted theory regarding Timmy and his fairies. This is another reading of the famous Fairy Odd Parents theory of Cosmo and Wanda are metaphors for anti-depressions.

Cosmo represents Zoloft and Wanda represents Prozac which are both pills for anxiety and depression. It's rarely talked about that Timmy doesn't have the best life at home because his parents constantly do whatever they want without consulting and even consider telling him. They'll even go out on vacations without him and then try to make up an excuse as to why they didn't invite him. Due to all of these last minute vacations and social events, Timmy is left alone with Vicky who constantly yells at him and makes him stay in his room alone. It doesn't help that his teacher is seriously suspicious of him.

This would explain why Cosmo and Wanda constantly help Timmy whenever he needs something and whenever he starts to get better, he doesn't need them anymore. When he starts to abuse Cosmo and Wanda's "magic" side affects occur and when Gordon Von Strangle comes to take his "fairies" away, it is his parents actually taking his pills away because he is abusing them too much.

There is another theory going along with it that Fairy World is also a metaphor to drugs and everyone there represents a drug. The anti-fairies could be metaphors to drugs such as cocaine, meth, and heroin.
