Book: Coming Back To You, The Vampire Diaries
Chapter 9: History Repeating
Word Count: 2176Thomas had sunglasses covering his eyes as he leaned against his locker. His eyes were closed and he had the biggest headache. Days later and he was still feeling the effects of his hangover. He would complain and say he would never do it again but that was a lie. The party was worth the pain in his opinion.
"I told you not to drink so much." Jeremy said and Thomas scrunched up his face. "Do you really think right now is the time to say I told you so?" He asked with annoyance. Jeremy laughed and shrugged. "I can't help myself. I love saying I told you so. If you had stayed home with me, you wouldn't be feeling sick and you would be prepared for the quiz."
"Jer, I love you but shut up and don't remind me about the quiz." Just the thought of it made him want to pass out. "I'll probably just cheat anyway." That's what he usually did. "You wouldn't have to cheat if you studied." Jeremy sang.
"This new good guy act is really getting on my nerves." He said with a pout. Jeremy just laughed and grabbed his hand. "Come on, I have to see the new history teacher. He wants to talk to me about something." Jeremy said.
"Hopefully this guy isn't as much as a jack ass as Mr Tanner." Thomas groaned. He couldn't deal with another Mr Tanner. "Or I might just have to quit history." He said. "You can't quit history." Jeremy said. "Don't ruin my dreams, Jeremy." Thomas replied, glaring at him through his sunglasses.
They stopped outside the history classroom and Thomas poked his head inside to see the new history teacher. He hummed and nodded his head in approval. "He's hot." That made Jeremy punch his arm lightly. "Don't call other guys hot." He said. "I'm just speaking facts."
Jeremy rolled his eyes and gave him a quick kiss, tasting the peppermint toothpaste Thomas had used that morning. "I'll see you later." He said and Thomas nodded. "Whatever." He brought his hand up to his head and rubbed at his forehead as he walked away.
Jeremy shook his head with a smile and walked into the classroom. "Hey, Mr Saltzman? I'm Jeremy Gilbert. You wanted to see me?"

Thomas made a quick look around before he walked right out of the school, making an escape. He stopped slightly when he saw Stefan and slowly walked over to him. "Hey, birthday boy." He greeted. Stefan looked up from where he was staring at his hands. "My birthday was days okay."
"I know I just like calling you that." He took the seat next to Stefan, taking his water bottle from the bag. "What are you doing out here looking all broody?" He questioned and his words caused Stefan to smile.
"I've been told that's my usual expression." Stefan said. "It wasn't the other night. I actually saw you laughing and having fun so don't think you can hide from me now." Thomas said, taking another drink from his bottle.
