Recap:

"You've never heard of me? I'm Klaus Mikaelson sweetheart."

Chapter 5

"Well I don't know you. So i would appreciate it if you could get off my porch." I replied.

I have never heard of his name, Klaus Mikaelson. He seemed like a controlling and rude guy, coming to my house asking who lives here and acting suspicious.

"We'll talk again love." And just like that Klaus left in an instant.

I was kind of creeped out by that encounter, so I scurried in my house, locking the door behind me. After brushing my teeth I went to engulf in my warm bed. Pulling out my diary, I started writing.

Dear diary,

These past couple days in Mystic Falls has been surprisingly good. I've made friends, and met some odd strangers- like that guy Klaus. But I also met Damon, who's charming and very attractive. He's a couple years older than me, and lives next door. Kinda like that perfect american dream in movies. I'm going with the flow, and everything has been falling into place. I haven't been isolating myself in my room, unlike how i was in Florida. I have a good feeling about this whole move. I just hope something doesn't mess it up.

I closed my journal and slid it under my bed, switching my lamp off and entering a deep sleep.

Rudely awakened by my obnoxious alarm clock, I sighed and rolled out of bed. I stretched and walked over to my closet, picking out an outfit for this beautiful wednesday morning. I did my makeup and hair and threw my messenger bag over my shoulder and quickly ran down the stairs.

"Bye dad!" I yelled, halfway out the door. I bit into my apple and unlocked my car, trying to get to school as fast as possible. I was already running late, like usual. I always wasted time dancing around my room or getting side tracked while getting ready.

I made my way to school, traveling on the twisty and turning roads. I admired the tall pine trees and how they swayed in the wind. I parked in the student parking lot and began fast walking to school, the bell had just rung and my class was on the opposite side of the school.

I reached for my phone out of my back pocket as I felt it vibrate.

Dad: I wont be home till later tonight, starting to set up the store and start working soon. Theres been 2 animal attacks in the past 30 hours. Be safe please. Love you

Two animal attacks in thirty hours? That was insane. What even type of animal? My head was flooded with thoughts but quickly changed when I felt myself run into a body.

"Oh I'm so sor-" I began to say.

"Save it. I've heard that phrase too many times in my life," a blonde girl with an australian accent replied coldly. She was beautiful, with stunning blue eyes, light blonde wavy hair, full lips, and amazing fashion taste. She was definitely intimidating, making me feel insecure and nervous.

I helped her pick up a textbook and notebook she dropped, all because I wasn't paying attention.

"Nice shoes. I love Jeffery Campbell, " I complimented her.

"Well thank you, I'm glad I've met someone who appreciates fashion like me. I'm Rebekah."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Liz. I'm sorry-but my class is on the other side of the school and I rather not be the new kid who shows up late, not one for extra attention," I said rambling on to the confident girl, Rebekah.

"I'll see you around Liz. Maybe we could even go shopping together, you seem like a lovely friend," Rebekah replied with a small smile.

I nodded and started to make my way to class, now almost running so I wouldn't be late. I made my way through the red and white hallways, passing several posters for fundraisers and some school dance.
