Entering the house somehow magically made Taehyung's stomach rumble to the delicious aroma circulating around the place.

He could've sworn he entered an all you could eat buffet because that's exactly what it smelt like.

Closing the door, the boy made his way towards the kitchen, only to see that it was completely empty. Only thing there was a aluminum pot of boiling hot chicken noodle soup, a huge bowl prepared with salad, and the delicious chocolate lava cake that his mother makes every year on this special day.

The rules are to never pick at the food before it's done, but that didn't stop Taehyung from shuffling further in the kitchen, taking the lid off the pot, and putting a spoon in to collect the delicious chicken broth.

Leaving no traces, he washed the spoon, placed it where it came from, put the lid back on, and quietly exited the kitchen.

Honestly he was confused as to why not one person was in the kitchen, or at least inside the living room.

Usually at this time, everyone is watching television.

He made his way through the hall to his sister's room where he noticed her playing on the floor with her barbies that she recently got as a Christmas gift.

Yeah, Taehyung thought the girl was annoying because all she does is yell twent-four-seven, but here she looked like she was peaceful and having fun.

Taehyung thought it was cute.

"Hey." He spoke.

"Hi."

"What are you doing?" He asked inching further into the room.

The girl instantly held up her dolls. One boy doll and one girl. "Im playing with my Barbie!" A big ol' grin was expressed in her ting features. "Play with me!"

The girl offered a doll, but Taehyung shook it off. He was more so interested in looking for his parents at the moment. "Maybe later." He chuckled. "Is mom and dad in the room?"

The girl nodded her head, and Taehyung smiled before exiting the place. He made his way further down the hall to where his parent's room was, and before opening, he wanted to knock to see if it was okay.

But before even knocking, he heard something.

Muffled noises.

His mother crying, and his father explaining something which didn't make much sense.

He needed context, but it was a bit too late for that.

The male put his ear to the door. He was being a bit too nosey, but it's not like his parents would know unless they opened the door so suddenly.

"This is what you do when I'm gone?" His father spoke. Voice filled with not anger, but pure sadness. As if he was going to cry as well.

"Are you going to answer the question?" He began. "I'm going to walk out this door, if I don't have an answer in 5 second, Ae-ra."

That was an immediate sign for Taehyung to quickly take his ear off the door, and move as far away from the spot as possible.
