Ryan's PoV:-
I was elated to see all this love from my friends and family. Last night Angel again celebrated my day perfectly. She never fails to mesmerize me with all these surprises.
I can never imagine my life without her.
She is the best thing that had ever happened to me.

Right now, I was at The Chloe's according to the plan. Angel and all my friends have been working a lot for me lately.

When I reached here I was surprised to see all my classmates from my college and even my sports club.

Yes, I am Sports person. I love to race particularly cars and bikes are my weak points. I love to race and compete with. It eases me. It helps me freshen up my mind too.

So, back to the present I was surrounded by my friends only Angel was no where to be seen. She must be in the kitchen or somewhere working her ass off for her family.

Poor little Angel works day and night for those selfish family members of hers.

Aliena is a pathetic person she deliberately annoys her to bring out any sort of reaction from her.

Although her dad is a good person and loves her alot yet he never stands for. Mr. Adams is well aware of the evil Aliena. Amara is a cute teenager. She is not like her mother.

I was lost in my train of thoughts when suddenly someone jumped on me from behind and hugged me.

Oh..that touch. By that electric sparks , I can assure you all that its my Angel. Her touch can never be misjudged by me.

I turned around and was astonished to see her in a very beautiful Red dress. It was the first time I saw her in this type of a dress and gosh she looked gorgeous. Her curves were finely visible and for the second time my world seized (first time was when I saw at her Momma's funeral in that black dress she looked like an angel, The Angel of darkness. )
Today she looked sexy and it was the first time that she applied this much makeup.
And God, this makeup made her look prettier.

I was surprised when she hugged me tightly and pressed her gentle lips on either of my cheeks. She then placed a packet in my hand.

"Happy Birthday, you Dumbass" she said in a sing-song way.

I laughed at her and kissed her cheeks taking her by surprise.

I know she doesn't feel any spark because she sees me as her best friend only.
Yeah, I am that friend-zoned Dumbass.

"Thank You, Angel" I said after kissing her.

Ariana's PoV:-
"It's his birthday, Chloe. And see I am so late", I yelled at her for grabbing me in the coridor of the restaurant.

I know I know, I am late. But I was at the shopping mall and I wanted to purchase the best of best gifts for him.

Ryan would never accept anything expensive from me and frankly speaking, I would never be able to afford anything expensive right now.

I made my choices which were not too expensive yet very thoughtful.

I excused myself from Chloe and Clieve and rushed to find Ryan he must be at the pub on the second floor where the party was held.

As soon as I saw Ryan he was facing towards the other side with a beer in his hand. I jumped and hugged him from behind and wished him happy birthday in a sing-song way.
He was surprised and elated to see me. I could see his eyes shining brightly at seeing me.

His eyes were clearly shocked at me as I wore this type of a dress for the first time in my life. I guess, he liked it.

We were enjoying ourselves with all our friends probably his friends.

"Ariana, why don't you get us our drinks, this time" Claire said smirking at me.

I don't know why but Claire hates me. There was time when she used to act like my elder sister but I don't know when things changed and she started hating me.

I was not in any condition to go to the bar as I was already a little bit drunk. I was sitting near Ryan. He saw me in second thoughts if I should agree or not so, he decided to stand and just do the deed.

He went to the bar excusing himself from us.

I smiled at his sweet gesture. When I turned around Claire was glaring at me.

"Don't you think you have made him your puppy already? Ariana" she whispered so that only I could hear her.

I gaped at her , for her choice of words.
What does she even mean by this? Why did she say such thing to me?
I was surprised to see this much hate in her eyes for me.

I gulped at that. "What? What do you mean by that?"

"Oh. Ariana, stop your drama , babes. You know he is at your command always" she whispered yet again for only me to hear.

I couldn't form any words out of my mouth so she continued, "I think, it's a lot of burden for him to protect a child now. And you are not helping in any way, Ariana. He is unable to follow his dreams because of you, Ariana. You should let him free. Don't burden him with you, dear. He is just 23. "

I felt as if something was taken away from my heart. It pierced into me like dozens of pins were ripping me apart.
Am I ? Am I a burden on him.? He is always around but I have not tied him with me. He can follow his dreams...

Oh my God! I am pretty much a burden on him. He would have gone to follow his dreams if I wasn't there in his life. His dreams are to be the racer which he can't fulfill here. He...

My train of thoughts was paused when Ryan came back and pulled me into him as a routine. There wasn't an inch of gap between us. It was like a habit now. To be in his arms.

He turned around and was instantly in a foul mood to see my face which was ofcourse deeply hurt on the realisation of what I have been doing to my best friend.

I tried to smile, I tried because it never came as a smile.

His eyes marked with concern but he let go of the topic specially when he knew I won't be in a mood to share my thoughts with him with so many people around.

I am more like an introvert when it comes to my friends. I like to share my celebrations with all to spread the happiness but I would never ever share my problems and pains with anybody but Ryan.

He knows me well enough to keep his calm right now. He respected my thoughts even when I could clearly see he was mad at me.

Oh my Gosh! Finally I did it.
Sorry for being so late with the update guys.
I was literally not getting any push to write this chapter from anyone 😭.
Probably, because the other novel I am writing was in a very exciting mode. I was busy updating it.
