Chapter 7:A Normal Day In The Pit

AN/ New chapter, still excepting OCs. enjoy, no flames. I changed Scarlett, yes the two will hate each other but I need to keep her in character. so that won't happen for a couple more chapters or she won't be a bad guy at all, read hell week to see who it might be. Katherine and Jacqueline made their way to the Alpha Team's Recreation room , seeing how they was an honorary member. Months went by now, missions came and so did soldiers. She and her second, Jackie went on covert OPs, managed her division of spies and joined Alpha Team on many missions. Katherine and Snakeeyes continued to train at night and after they talked little about some things. She enjoyed the silent clad-black ninja's company. Katherine was starting to see these people as family, so since today was Saturday and no terrorists to find. They took a day off. Katherine was currently winning an argument with Heavy Duty about which revolver would work best; a Colt Python or a the Colt 1911. She won by a landslide with the Python until Heavy said it wouldn't do jack against a Tompson. Touché, Heavy, touché.
Snakeeyes was in a far corner doing ninja stuff, Scarlett was on the treadmill running like a hamster on its wheel as First Aid recorded Scarlett's results and Breaker sat on the couch as he fiddled with Katherine's laptop saying it needed an update. That was a lie, of course, her Stark laptop was high tech, it hasn't even been released on the market yet. Katherine suspected that Breaker wanted to find out what made it tick.
Estrella bounced into the room, grinning ear to ear. Katherine frowned at her younger sister but she continued to skip to the flat-screened TV that hung on the on the north side of the rec room. Lyra followed her twin with that same stupid sardonic grin.
Now, all of the Alpha team's and First Aid's attention was focused on the twins. They hummed a bright tune, all to cheerfully as they entered a disk in the DVD player. The player whirled as it loaded the disk, knowing their work was done they spun around to the awaiting team. "I bet your wondering why A. We are grinning like idiots and B. Standing in front of the TV."
Estrella took up where her twin left off," Well. Since we heard embarrassing stories about y'all around the Pit. We thought it would be best and fair to share our own embarrassing stories but we caught ours on camera."
Katherine and Jackie groaned in unison, they both knew what the twins meant. Now the Joes were intrigued, Breaker asked, "What kind of embarrassing stories?"
"Don't, I will severely hurt you." Katherine warned with a dark gleaming glint in her golden-yellow eyes, like a predator huntong prey. Her hands twitching for her twin kopeshes.
Jackie snorted and then growled," Not if I get to them, first." Handling her pistol, thoughtfully, as if she was debating to which twin to shoot first which she was, Katherine knew her friend too well for anything else.
"Now, now, since this is a democracy. let's vote, all in favor for embarrassing black mail on Katherine and Jackie, raise your hand." Estrella asked, every single hand in the recreational room rose to the air but Katherine and Jackie.
"It'll be fun, we won't judge you... much." Heavy said then laughed at Katherine's heated glare. She noticed Snakeeyes wonder over where everyone else now sat.
"Kill me now." Katherine moaned, her forehead falling against Jackie's shoulder and Jackie's head fell on top of hers. Both wanting to die before they suffered from embarrassment.
"You can't die, Sweet Kit-Kat." Jackie paused then rephrased her sentence, realizing her poor choice of words and she said ," You literally can't die."
"Blow me up or burn me, for Heaven's sake get creative! We didn't nickname you Crowley, the Queen of Hell for nothing, ya know." Katherine hissed into Jackie's shoulder, her voice was muffled and she continued on," It would take me a few weeks to be patched up again like fucking Humpty Dumpty."
"And leave me to suffer in embarrassment? Not a slim chance in Hell." Jackie said then laughed at Katherine's slew of colorful cuss words and death threats directed at her. They never have changed over the years with the way they constantly teased and insulted each other, that was meant to mean 'I love you'. Now it was only Katherine and Jackie together, still wandering into trouble not the others, who wisely moved on in their lives. Not these two, never these two.
The Twins cleared their throats, loudly and Katherine sat straight then grumbled," Let's get this over with." Jackie copied Katherine's movements with a dark, seething glare fixed onto her expression.
The twins pressed 'play' and the video started up.
Younger Estrella and Lyra grinned at the camera," Hello class and whoever else is watching us."
"That sounds creepy, twin." Lyra noted.
"Anyway... for our Video project, we will show you a year of our lives."
"Condensed into thirty-ish? Minutes."
"Let's get started." they said to the viewers in unison, the footage cut off and a scene appeared. It was a small and cozy, warm welcoming colors coated the wall and dark stained wood floors abstracted nicely against the walls. The camera shook in the hands of its holder.
Heavy noted," Good to know that they've always been like that." Katherine snorted her agreement with him.
Third POV
Estrella's voice came back on as the camera was focus on a older woman standing at a oven, cooking. the old woman's black hair was long and tinged with a variation of greys. she wore a colorful flowery dress and was slightly plump. the woman hummed as she baked scones."This is Grandmama. Dont piss her off unless you value your continued existence. She's deadly with a bamboo spoon." the camera turned to face the twins, Lyra then whispered," Most people say Grandpapa taught Katherine everything she knows, the truth is Grandmama taught her."
"You won't be able to met Grandpapa this time 'round, he's working in our family's bakery today." Lyra continued.
The Joes watched Katherine as her eyes became misty, lost far down memory lane. The spy stared wistfully at the flat-screen. The video moved along.
A door opened, the front door by the sqeeking in protest when someone opened it."Big Sis! Come say hello to our class with the video project." Estrella called to her older sister, moving the camera to see what the twins saw. It was young Katherine holding hands with a handsome teen around this younger Katherine's age. Katherine looked so young and innocent, her normally dangerous looking eyes now looked so wide and harmless. Katherine's long black hair was now cut short and it's ends were dyed red and slightly spiked outwards at the ends. she wore a low cut, long sleeve white t-shirt with stilts on the sleeves, a gold icon was plastered across her chest, an ankh. The teen boy beside Katherine had a football player built with rich chocolate brown hair and startling blue eyes, staring at Katherine with a look of a love-struck puppy. A younger Jackie accompanied them, looking exactly the same now as she looked then, she stood a little behind the couple.
Katherine whispered,"Andy..." Her honey like musical voice was broken and flat, Jackie grabbed her best friend's hand, giving it a tight comforting squeeze. Katherine's face contorted with many emotions. Snakeeyes' hand reached out to grab his comrade's shoulder to comfort her. If she  wasn't currently  in this melancholy position, she would have relished the contact but not now.
"Andy? Jacks? you can introduce yourselves too."
"I feel honored, should I kneel? Bow?" Jackie asked, sarcasm dripping like syrup off of pancakes in her words. Katherine snickered, quietly.
"Shut up and introduce yourself?" Estrella offered." Your practically our sister and Andy is probably going to be our Brother in law soon, so you're now unofficial family."
Andy and Katherine both blushed a deep shade of red, scarlet danced over their cheeks. Andy growled at the two giggling twins," Shut up."
"Hello, I'm Katherine Ramses and this devilishly handsome man is Andy, my boyfriend." Katherine said with that same infamously famous smirk of hers that could get her any boy she so desires. "Oh, and this here is Jackie Tyler." The said friend glowered at her taller and far more stronger friend, Jackie thought herself a mouse compared to the tigress' prowess of Katherine, that didn't stop her from glaring. Now that Jackie thought about it, she has had to break up with more than half of her past boyfriends because of Katherine. Jackie wasn't sure if she considered that was a blessing or a curse.
"I feel the love." Jackie grumbled, Katherine laughed and linked her arm with her friend and she leaned the side of her head against Jackie's shoulder. The video introduced a few new strange faces: Sarah, Moira, Margarita, Antonio, RJ and another set of twins, Monique and Dominique. The twins came back into the camera's sight and they said," Now you know a little bit of our large familia, you came now see the insanity of everyday life," with a smile and wave, the seance changed once more.
Katherine reappeared in a different set of clothes looking intensely into Jackie's glittering green gaze, a staring contest? The twins giggled in the background, as the two continued to stare. One of the twins, Lyra whispered," Kitty-Cat and Jacks are having a very intense staring contest to see who will laugh first, so far neither are winning."
Jackie smirked, wickedly. An evil plot thickened in her mind. she spoke very lowly to Katherine," Optimus Prime in a thong stripping for Lord Megatron."
Katherine's yellow-golden eyes widened in shock then amusement and she burst out in contagious laughter that Jackie soon followed as the victor of the two's staring contest.
The Joes watched the clip in amusement and few chuckles escaped them, Katherine managed a smile and Jackie laughed a the memory. Jones and Marie Haze appeared at the entrance and they hurried to where Katherine sat with Jackie. "Director Ramses, there's an urgent matter in the Operations Room about our most recent objective." Jones whispered to Katherine. She in response stiffened then straightened.
Katherine turned and hissed," SHIELD is taking care of it, not us, not our damn division." The target was a mobster who owns a string of casinos, drugs and is funding terrorist organization. SHIELD said they were taking care of it and to not bother them by interfering.
"Dominatrix doesn't seem to care about divisions or you for that matter." Marie offered. Katherine fixed a dark glare on the Tracker.
"I'll take care of that damn woman, you two notify Hawk and get SHIELD on the line. NOW!" Katherine said. This easy off day just got really complicated.
