isabella ended up texting her mom to ask if she could sleep in gabbie's apartment that night.

the two girls slept on the living room floor with lavender and woke up with sore backs.

"we should have seen this coming." bella laughed.

gabriela joined her laughter but stopped when her cellphone began ringing. it was her mom, lisa. "hello?"

"gabbie?"

"mom? aren't you supposed to be on the plane?"

"we are on the plane. i bought the wifi for an hour. i just wanted to check on you."

"wait hold on mom," gabriela looked at bella and walked into her bedroom so that she could talk to her mom in private. "mom, i met a really, really amazing girl at the airport yesterday. i sat with her on the plane and her room is right next to ours. she's lovely and lavender loves her. she's a fan and she told me about how i saved her life a few months ago. i really hope we stay friends."

"gabbie, i'm so happy for you! and i'm sure you'll stay friends. she sounds amazing. what's her name?"

"isabella, but i call her bella. her family is great too."

"okay gabs, go hang out with her because my time is almost up with the wifi. i'll see you soon, baby. give lavender a kiss for me and tell bella i say hi."

"i will mom. te quiero."

"i love you baby."

and at that, lisa gonzalez hung up her phone and gabriela made her way back to the living room, where she found bella playing with lavender on a play mat.

"wanna go to the beach?"

bella looked up at gabbie and smiled.

gabriela and isabella stepped onto the perfectly white sand of florida, hand in hand, while lavender was on isabella's hip.

isabella had a bright pinkish-red bikini on and gabbie had a multi-colored bikini on.

they made their way closer to the water so that gabbie could get up and surf whenever she wanted.

the two laid back in the sun as lavender sat on bella's torso.

gabbie was smiling at bella when she felt a hand tap her shoulder, making her turn around to see a familiar blonde - kay cook.

"kay? i didn't know you were here! are your parents and lainey here too?" gabbie said, embracing her friend and making bella sit up straight.

"yeah, they're all here. sleeping though, since it's still pretty early." kay was in a red bikini.

"nice." gabbie then turned to bella and lavender. "this is-"

"bella visone.." kay breathed out and immediately embraced isabella the second the green eyed girl stood.

isabella nuzzled her cheek into kay's shoulder as she began to tear up.

"you two know each other..?" gabbie asked awkwardly, feeling like a third wheel and now that kay was there, things might change for her and bella.

"bella made an edit of me on her fanpage and i saw it, liked, and commented. she replied for me to check my dms so i did and she vented to me about some personal stuff that happened to her a few months back. how do you two know each other?" kay asked.

"met her at the airport yesterday and she told me about how i saved her life."

"you both saved my life."
