Sandra was running in the hallway in school. She was gonna be late for math class. Her math teacher, Mr. Davis, was not gonna be pleased, if she arrived late. "Only 15 seconds left!" she gasped.
"Hey, no running!" said Jodi, the hall monitor.
"I don't want to be late for class, Jodi!" protested Sandra.
"No running, I said!" said Jodi. The late bell rang, and Sandra felt a lump form in her throat.
"Mr. Davis is gonna break my legs!" she exclaimed. She timidly walked into his class. And as expected, he wasn't pleased.
"You're late, Miss Butters!" he barked. "Fill out a tardy slip!"
Sandra felt guilty for arriving late. She filled out the tardy slip, and sat down at her desk. "Last time, I help someone with their locker," she muttered to herself.
