*Katiepops Pov*
It was Monday morning and I was going to work, I worked part time at a diner to help mom. I dropped out of school in my Junior year and started working. My mom and I live in Florida, with my grandparents. I always wondered where my dad Sodapop lived. My mom told me he lives in a town call Tulsa, but that's the only thing she told me about him. That was in Oklahoma somewhere, and It was a long way away from Florida.

After I started walking to work, I was thinking about my dad and what he was like. I kept on thinking about it and before I knew it, I was at work. "Hey Katie!" Gia my manager said. "Hey," I said walking towards the counter. "How was your weekend, anything fun?" She asked me while giving me orders. "No, just trying to get my mom to tell me about my dad," I said back. I told Gia about my dad because she knows I feel. "I really wanted to know what he's like, Is he happy go lucky like me? Do I look like him?" I said before customers came. "I know what you mean, you should go to Tulsa to go see him," she suggests. "I don't know, what if he doesn't like me?" I said back before walking over to a table. "You gotta try," she said before going to the kitchen. "Hi, I'm Katie your waitress, what could I get you today?" I asked the three boys. They told me what they wanted and I wrote it down and brought it to Lori. Lori is one of the other workers here. I get along with everyone so I pretty much talk to someone when we don't have that many customers. All day at work I couldn't stop thinking about what Gia said to me this morning. You should go to Tulsa to go see him. I was distracted all day. Once work was over I walked back home and started dinner for Mom and I. I always cooked for us, because I'm somewhat a good cook. Before I started dinner, I went through some pictures of my mom and Soda. They looked happy together, what happened. When I was upstairs looking through photos of them I heard my mom. "Honey, I'm home," she yelled. "Hi mom," I yelled back walking downstairs.

"How was work sweetie?" She asked me. "Oh you know, same boring day," I said while getting dinner ready. "Mom, I have a question," I said. "What's up dear?" She asked me. "What happened between you and dad?" I asked hoping for an answer. "Sweetie, your dad and I broke up when I was moving here before you were born. We couldn't do long distance." She said getting the table ready. After we finished dinner, we got dressed in our pajamas. Mom went to bed after she got dressed, but I couldn't fall asleep.
