I sat back against the bed frame. Looking around this room was like seeing a fantasy of mine come to life. The frame was a beautiful canopy. There were french doors that I knew led to a balcony. A huge amour was against one wall, a fire place in front of the bed, and double french doors that I knew led to a closet and a bathroom on the other side. This room was made for me. The flat screen above the fireplace sealed the deal. I was almost afraid to look up. I knew what I'd see. Landon watched me. He obviously knew I'd figure it out. He grinned and nodded. I peeked up above the bed. Sure enough there was a beautiful chandelier of candles. I felt my hands cover my face and I cried. Landon rubbed my legs and shushed me.
"It's okay Belle, it was my dream too."
Between sobs I managed to talk.
"Why did you do this?"
"This? Hell you should see what I did to the rest of the house."
I stared at him. This was a dream. I'd wake up smelling like Jack Daniel's with Della leaning over me any second.
"I love this house Belle."
"I just don't understand why you still... did all this."
He grabbed my hands.
"Cuz' whether it was seven years or seventy I planned on bringing you home. One day I knew I'd have to get you back and it couldn't be anything less than perfect."
"This is crazy."
"When my parents offered us the house in the first place we drew this out. I stuck to the plan. That's all."
I nodded. I couldn't believe he created our dream house. Even though the dream died. Maybe it wasn't as dead as I thought. Could we really put life back into something after it had been with out for so long?
"I know what your thinking, and we may have been apart, but I loved you. I think I loved you enough for both of us. Please let me talk and fix this mess."
I knew in my heart Landon was being sincere. Before he could start talking my phone rang from down stairs.
"I have to get that. It could be anyone."
Landon nodded even though a little light had died in his eyes. I ran out of the room and down the stairs. Grabbing my phone I didn't even look before I answered.
"Hello?"
"Addy?"
It was Della and she was whispering.
"Del? What's going on?"
"Where the hell are you? Austin's freaking out. I don't even know why he's here, but don't freak out he doesn't know where you are.. yet."
"Oh god."
"Yeah. You need to get back here."
"Okay, Della?"
I heard he cover the mouth piece and talk. The phone suddenly sounded like it was being thrown around.
"Addison?"
Oh shit. It was Austin.
"Yeah?"
"Where the hell are you?"
Hm. How did I explain that? Never mind explaining I wasn't his property.
"Out. I'll be home when I get there. Don't wait up."
"Addison.."
"Oh and Austin?"
"Yeah?"
He sounded so hopefully I almost felt bad.
