King lied down in bed with a long sigh. It had been a tough day at work but he was not going to complain. Finally, his little plant's shop was gaining recognition and he was getting more than just a couple of customers.

So many people were against him opening a plant's shop because they believed that King could do more than that. In fact, he did! King was the smartest one back in college and not only in his year but also amongst other years as well. Many people looked up to him and he always got the highest marks in exams and assignments. However, anyone who knew King would also know how much King loved plants. His whole house was pretty much a garden and he took care of them as if he was taking care of his children. Therefore, while he did get an engineering degree, he decided to open up his own shop. It was hard at first. He had to get the money for the shop all by himself and finding a good spot for a shop was not cheap. However, after working 2 years and saving up all the money he could, he finally had enough money to start up his little business.

It was a long journey, which did not stop at getting the place. Filling the place up took months but King was proud to say that he did it all by himself. His shop had been open for 3 months by then and finally, it was getting recognition.

His phone dinged and King picked up from beside him to find a text from his friend inviting King over to a bar for a drink. Initially, he was going to refuse but then he decided he had nothing to lose so he got up and went to shower in order to get ready to go out.

When he reached to club King spotted two of his friends there already, Bohn and Boss and wondered if anyone else was joining them. He went up to them and greeted them. The three of them along with Mek and Tee had been friends since school and thankfully, they managed to keep in touch even after they graduated. During their school years, Bohn was dating a person called Duen and a couple of months before their friend broke it out to them that they were officially engaged. Also during school, Boss and Mek starting dating as well. It was rough for them at first but now it seemed like the two of them were getting steady.

Tee had been in an on and off relationship for a while as well but it did not seem like he was in a rush to be settled down with his partner either. On the other hand, King had been single for a little over a year. He never had any problem finding someone and much less dating them. However, all the work of owning a new shop was making it difficult for him to put the time in a relationship. His last girlfriend broke up with him because he was not giving her enough attention and he did not want that to happen.

Even though he did not talk about it, he knew that he was good looking. King also knew that some of his most frequent visitors at his shop went there to flirt with him. He was not oblivious; he realized when someone was flirting with him! However, he never had the intention to actually date any of them and unless they bothered him too much, he had no problem with it.

"Hey King," Mek greeted him from behind him before he went ahead and sat down next to his boyfriend.
King greeted all his friends and sat down next to Bohn who was looking at his phone.
"Trouble in paradise?" King asked jokingly. A relationship was never all flowers and rainbows and King knew that. The group were close together and they had no problem sharing their relationship problems with each other. This, however, seemed to be a bit awkward when it came to Boss and Mek's relationship since they were all friends with each other. Yet they knew they were all ready to help and support each other.
Bohn looked up from his phone, "no. Duen has a class reunion today and he asked me to go pick him up when they're done."
"You better not get drunk then or else your husband will get picked up by some other guy," teased him Mek. They had been calling them husbands ever since Bohn told them they were engaged.
"Of course I won't get drunk," Bohn said, pretending to get annoyed but then the four of them just continued chatting, trying to outshout the loud noises that there were around them.

The clock hit two when King was back in his apartment. He was not drunk but he was not tired either. He took another shower and put on his bedclothes, dropping down on his bed on hopes that sleep would catch up to him because the following day was another workday.

His phone dinged again and once again, it was a text from his friend thanking him for hanging out. King remained with his phone in his hand and switched to a different application. Even though he did not have time to be in a relationship it did not mean that he could not check people out.

He was not very meticulous. Someone easy on the eyes, good looking enough but they did not need to be plastic or covered in filters. He swiped right on a couple of people and he matched with all of them which, was not much of a surprise there. Until he came across the profile of a male. He was not closeted, not after his best friends started dating guys. He was bisexual even though King only had one relationship with a male before and it was not a long one.

The male in the photo caught his eye. What was most intriguing to him was the tattoo he has on the side of his neck. King always thought tattoos where cool. He clicked on the profile and went to read what was written in it.

'25-year-old teacher. Dog-lover. I like listening to music and watching movies and series.'

His profile description was not very detailed and nothing really stood out about that person. He had a regular daily job and his hobbies were not that interesting either. Yet, King swiped right and to his surprise, he did not match with him! He wondered why for a few moments, maybe he had not shown up for him yet, or maybe this person had not used the application for a while. Either way, King was sure he would match with him and so he turned off his phone and went to sleep.
