"Ram?"

Ram's stomach dropped to the floor as soon as he heard that voice. Of course, from an entire day of moments that he could have gone to the shop, he had to go at the same time that Ram was there. The tattooed male was having an internal fight with himself. He knew he should have bought the coffee from somewhere else and left it at the shop's door! Ram did not need to turn around to know who that voice belonged to. He hadn't heard it a lot of times but he could still recognize it. It was King.

Ram turned around, hoping that his face was not too obviously in a state of shock.
"What are you doing here?" King asked, approaching the male and the counter to say his order.
"Buying you coffee!" Ram thought, but obviously he did not say it.
"Ram?" The person behind the counter called his name and the tattooed male was presented with two coffees.
"Are you here with someone?" King asked, looking around to see if he could spot Duen or Ting.
Ram held both cups of coffee in his hand for a moment before he pushed one in King's direction, almost into his chest. It wasn't like he would leave with two cups of coffee anyway.

King looked puzzled for a moment, unable to read the male in front of him. "For me?" He asked confused and Ram nodded. Ram wanted to text King his reasoning but it was quite difficult for him to do so while holding both cups.
King took it from Ram's hand. "What for?" he asked. Not that he minded. His initial shock turned into a somewhat happy and excited smile as it hit him that Ram had just bought him coffee.
Ram took out his phone, 'I wanted to thank you for the ride home.'
That is when they both realized that King did not bring his phone with him from his shop. Ram wanted to slap himself.
"Just show me your phone," King said after a moment of thinking and Ram turned his phone so that King could see what he wrote.

"Wait, is that why you were asking me what I like?" King asked, and Ram nodded at him. King laughed, "I had no idea!"
"Listen, just sit down somewhere, I'll grab my lunch and come next to you in a moment."

Initially Ram had no intention to stay there, but he realized that it would be very rude of him to just walk out then, so he found an empty table and sat down.
Ina few moments King joined him with two plates filled with rice and meat and he placed one of them in front of Ram.
"For you. I don't like to eat alone," he said with a soft chuckle.
Ram fumbled to pull out his wallet but King stopped him, "no! That is my treat to you for coming all the way out here to buy me coffee."
Ram picked his phone.
'I came here to treat...'
"But I came here to buy you coffee and not to have you buy me food," King spoke over and Ram looked up from his phone, "you were going to type something like that right?" King said, "you're quite easy to read."

The taller male just stared at the one in front of him who had already begun eating. It was the first time someone, aside from his family, said that he was easy to read. How could King know what he was thinking when they had only seen each other a total of two times before and barely had any communication while in each other's presence.

"I guess I am getting to know you much more than you think," King said.
Ram smiled softly, put his phone away and began eating as well.

King stopped at the door to his shop, "are you coming tomorrow?"
'I'm not much of a partying person.'
"Still, you should come. It will be fun."
Ram shrugged and put his phone away.
"It was fun having lunch with you Ram. See you tomorrow."
And the two went their separate ways.

As soon as Ram got home, he felt as if what happened was not a real thing. He just had lunch with King, a person he had been talking to for a while and King did not seem to find him weird. Most of the people in his life would tell him that he was too hard to understand and be around because he would not talk to them. So when he heard King say that he was easy to read it surprised him, and somehow made him happy.

King was slightly annoyed that Ram did not join his friends on Saturday evening.
'You did not come today.'
'Something came up.'
King wondered whether that was true or not. Ram did tell him he did not enjoy going out much so maybe that was his way of rejecting hanging out. He put his phone away and tried to ignore than tingling feeling that was upsetting him.

Frong had joined them and so did Thara. The whole image of Frong embarrassing himself in front of the doctor came back to him and so Frong made sure not to drink a lot for that time just because he did not want to fall over or say something stupid once again.

They left quite early, much earlier than they usually would and somehow, Thara and Frong both ended up outside of the bar waiting together for their taxi to arrive. Initially neither of them talked to the other until both were starting to huff and pace around each other impatiently.

"Do you know if there's a store open around here?" Thara suddenly asked.
Frong stared at him for a moment, not realizing that the other was talking to him, until it hit him, "I don't know this area," he replied.
"I'm gonna go look for something to eat," Thara said, more to himself, but it was loud enough for Frong to hear him.
Frong frowned for a second before he decided to follow the doctor, "I'm hungry too."

Both of them ended up in front of a stall selling corn dogs. "I did not think you're the type to eat this," Frong said while they were both biting down on their food.
"What do you mean?"
Frong shrugged, "you're a doctor. I thought you would only eat healthy food and stuff like that."
"You're saying this after we've been in the same club at the same table drinking alcohol?" he said laughing slightly.
"My last doctor told me I should eat healthier while his packet of cigarettes was showing from his pocket. Some of you have double standards."
Thara began laughing at that, "well, we're here to make you healthy." He paused for a moment and eyed Frong up at down, "you don't look like you need to loose weight."
Frong sighed, "that was my point. It was just him wanting to say something. I need a better doctor."
"Well," he said smiling, "if you want to I can give you a few numbers of doctors I know."
Frong nodded, "yes, give them to me next time cause now my taxi is here. Bye."
Thara waived at him and Frong got into his taxi and it drove off.

'Duen said you did not go to work today. Is everything okay?'
Ram hadn't replied to any of King's messages since Saturday evening and late on Monday King even asked Duen about it.
'I can't talk right now. Sorry.'
King's brain was exploding with different thoughts of what could have happened. He wanted to drive to Ram's apartment but he did not want to seem as a stalker. He knew something was wrong but he did not know what he could do about it besides sit at his phone and wait until Ram decided to tell him about it.
