Ram was already in his classroom. He was fifteen minutes early and everything was already prepared in his room. He took out his notebook to check a few things with his coffee right next to him. The tattooed male decided to enjoy a few minutes of peace and silence before Ting, and his students come and disturb that.
He left the door to his classroom open because he knew who to expect to come in, and he slowly drank his coffee, enjoying the last warm coffee for the rest of his workday when a slam on the edge of his table caused him to look up. Duen stood in front of him, looking red and out of breath, as if he just ran all the way from his apartment.
"Why didn't you tell me you were talking to King?" Duen shouted out loud.
Ram's eyes widened and he almost spit out his drink. "What?" he blurted out and his mind began wondering as to how Duen came to know that he had just spent two weeks talking to Duen's boyfriend's friend!
"So? When were you planning on telling me?""Never." Ram thought but he kept it in his mind. "We're just talking online. There's nothing serious going on." He hoped that it would be enough to silence Duen.
"Are you sure about that? Because King bombarded me with questions last Saturday and I was really tempted to call you all through the weekend and ask you about it."Ram's eyes widened a little when he heard that. What was King asking about him? "What did he ask?"
Duen smiled, Ram realized that he had quite an evil, devilish smile when he wanted to. "Ask him if you want to know," he said keeping that same smile on his face. "Good day," and the male walked out of the classroom with a satisfied look on his face, happy with the face Ram was making with that answer he gave him.Just as Duen was walking out, Ting walked in. Ram knew that she was with them the previous Saturday as well and he almost asked her whether King spoke about him. However, he stopped himself just on time because he knew that if Ting did not know, she would eat his ear off with questions, and if she did know, she would not hesitate to mention it.
Ram was never happier for the workday to be over. He needed to get out and ask King about what Duen told him. He had no idea how to ask him or what to say but he knew he needed to know what they spoke about.
As soon as he was in his car, he took out his phone. He stared at the message for over two minutes, wondering whether he should send it or not or if he needed to phrase it better. Then he simply closed his eyes and pressed the send button. He took a deep breath, left his phone on the passenger's seat and drove off to his apartment, desperately waiting for a reply.
'What did Duen ask you about me?'
King saw the message and smiled.
'So he told you. I asked him not to tell you.'
He replied and his mind wondered two days back when they were all drinking together.
{Previous Saturday}
"Ram did not come?" King did not know how to start up that conversation about the male he had been texting for almost two weeks and that was the best he can do with two drink in his system.
"No. He could not make it..." Duen paused for a moment, "wait how do you know Ram?"King smiled, apparently, Duen had not been drinking and he was still fully sober. He was hoping that the younger would be slightly drunk so he would not ask questions but there goes that. He also got the confirmation that Ram never spoke about him to his friends, and even though he expected that, it still hurt him a little.
"We met on an app and we've been talking on it for a while."
"While as in pre last Saturday while?" Duen asked.
King nodded, "Tuesday before last Saturday."
Duen's eyes widened, "no wonder he was so red when we got out of your shop. Why didn't you tell me about it?"
